Stormknights

Those who were righteous and good might have decide to join the Stormknights; "children of light who drive away evil and protect good." The guild leader Kalen Leah left The Guards to start this guild on April 21st, 1998. Styled as a roleplaying good oriented guild, with Kalen as king, I believe they tried to protect the population from PKs like The Guards but had a much stronger roleplay presence in Tibia. The guild was given one of the few first guild halls, Spiritkeep hall, which was placed to the south west of Tibia city. This hall like the guild was styled as a medieval castle. Not much is known about the guild as the website no longer exists, but it was remarked that there was many stories and game information provided on their site. They became the arch enemy of the RoA, an evil styled guild, but something happened, and the guild abruptly ended when Kalen quit sometime just prior to the release of Fibula on July 11th, 1999.

Our only clue as to what happened is an except found in Zelda's character story. The timing of the events seems to coincide with the events of Betrayal's duel and the later events of the PK spree. Below is an excerpt:

End of the Era- The Stormknights

But then it happened. Her master was killed in an unfortunate accident and was held in the underworld. So the Riders crumbled and the strongest guild, at that time, disbanded. It was the time when she experienced her second breakdown. Kalen Leah, whom she had known for a long time, saw her pain and took her in, took her to the Stormknights at a time when Zelda needed inner peace. The chaos in her had destroyed itself and so she answered the call of her heart. Zelda followed Kalen Leah and many old friends she had known for a long time. It was the time of renewal that the SK was going through. A new beginning and Zelda was with them, supporting them. At that time she gained an unprecedented strength in her that she never regained later. But it was also a time of upheaval. Even the greatest flame went out in the darkness that was slowly forming around Tibia. More and more victims were brought back to life by Quentin. The slaughter never ended.

Death of Kalen Leah- The battle against the demons

And then it happened, Kalen Leah called them all together. He told of a demon who had appeared and of an important message that was carried by a brave but weak warrior. This news decided the existence of the SK, no, the existence of all of Tibia. They set out to look for the demon, but they found nothing but a sudden pain through their heart for, I got on my knees a lot, my arm cramped, and when she was strong enough to look around again, she realized that it happened to the others as well. And at the same time they felt the same fear, "Kalen and the castle". They stormed back to the castle, but when they entered it was all chaos. They failed. After a while they also found the dead messenger, their fate was sealed.

Zelda Haffax set out to defeat the demon on my own. She went down a number of stairs and ladders before she found herself in the demon's lair. She straightened her helmet and her armor, Zelda's fingers clutched the morning star, which grew into part of her over the long term, in the other hand her self-acquired mastermind shield, which she took from a Beholder. She looked around, looking for the demon when she heard him panting. The smell made her so bad that she had to pull herself together not to tip over on the spot. When her gaze met his, she saw those sparkling eyes, he smiled grimly, mocked her. Zelda would show him, she told herself. It followed in quick succession, he used his fiery breath and his energy flashes, but she held out, at least as long as her magic stood by her side. But there was no point, as hard as she hit, he just smiled at her, laughed at her. She knelt on the floor, apologized to her dead prince, to her brother Kurik, to all her friends and to Kalen. Zelda Haffax had failed. But the demon had other plans for her.

Interestingly, a new guild hall which later became the ruin of Elvenbane was added to the future Ab'Dendriel area. The Stormknights were supposed to move into the hall and their own hall was to be turned into a ruin. Just before this update was launched, the guild disbanded when Kalen abruptly left. Taghor recalls a memory from around that time where a bug with the key system allowed any key to act as a master key. Knightmare and him franticly rushed to loot all the treasure rooms before anyone else found out what happened, preventing the items from entering the game. They entered the old locked hall and found a Crown and two books written for the guild that would no longer inherit the hall. Taghor had the only copies and provided me with a copy back in the day. Tibia wiki strangely has the text of these books.
