For those players who only wanted to provide knowledge to others the Loremasters would be the guild of choice. Very much like the RSST, the guild was more of a school then a guild where each member was considered a teacher. This guild had many high levels players who were very knowledgeable about the game and provided many tips to new players on their website. I believe the guild was founded by Knightmare and was one of the few guilds were membership in other guilds was ok.
Their mission goal was as follows: "We will concentrate on training and teaching new Players. We will also try to help low level players to form adventuring parties and of course guard newbies on their first steps in a dangerous, unknown world. With more experienced players we will have some guided tours, to the sights of Tibia :-))) ( Come see the Lava pools ;-) ) We will organize small (or greater) tournaments (of course not to the death) to gain experience and get a better understanding of battle-tactics, weapons and skills. We could even try to settle some conflicts in peace and try to reason with players, who disturb others by their play - but these things are no integral part of our job :-))"
Unfortunately, much of the early years have been lost on their old site, but there second site that has some nice information still. On the website were many helpful tips to new players and tons of information on the mechanics of magic, the behaviors of monsters, and the specifics of vocations. The Loremasters were a very respected guild in tibia due to their helpful nature and comprised many of Tibia's kindest members who devoted their spare time to aid others in the mechanics of the game.
