CHRONICLES OF THE DARK LEGION

Written By Muir

PREFACE

At the time of this writing, it has been nearly 20 years since the Dark Legion was founded by Flamer the blazer on 27 October 2003. It is the only true ancient guild still existing on the Eternia-Rowana-Vunira continent.

It is indeed a laborious task to even try to document all that has happened between then and now. It is, simply speaking, impossible. Personally, and while I have been around since the very beginning (although not in the Dark Legion), my spells and wizardry has brought me out of this world for many a time. Hence, for long times I was absent, both in soul and mind.

Thus, only a very few of the events to be described in these chronicles did I witness myself. Most of them are also events long gone. And so the saying goes: History become legend. Legend become myth. It is therefore with a humble spirit I take up my pen.

VOLUME I

"Genesis, Early Days and the Time of Peace and Prosperity" (2003-2005)

This story starts even before the Dark Legion came into existence. The Gods created Eternia on 11 February 2003, and there was chaos and turmoil and demons in the sky, and confusion ran rampant, and it was said that on the first day, more minoteurs were slain on the island of Rookgard by the ruthless warriors the likes of Pred'score and Kriegsherr than ever before or since.

More were soon to follow. An early recording from March/April 2003, before the major guilds were founded which would later roam the lands in fearless fashion for a long time, shows adventurers like Bright Elf, Droggo Von Draktand, Jamaal, Don Knauser, Frik Adelik, Kerafe Foo, Teranion and others tirelessly fight their ways through many a dungeons. Dragons, and even Dragon Lords, fell to them.

Little is remembered of the very first guilds. There was Lovan, a demi-god and paladin in his own right, and his Fellowships, including the Fellowship of Trust. Then there was Wine and Roses, with the knight Don Knauser and sorcerer Frik Adelik among its ranks. Droggo Von Draktand was Don Knauser's mentor, and will appear many years later in the Venore Dragon Lair sneak attack by the Dark Legion.

Sentries of a Fallen Empire deserves another mention. Founded on 8 April 2003, this guild took shelter in Sky Lane, Guild 2 (Edron) and was ruled under the leadership of Soddan, with several prominent members, such as Darathor, Samgrath, Bulgrath, Saxum, Tilde, Kattron, Teranion and Lord Volti. Lord Volti was a notorious sorcerer and one of the very first "arch mages".

The first two real powerhouses on Eternia were founded on 16 April 2003. Ad Infinitum, under the leadership of Imperator Kevin MacLathlan and Reign of Darkness, under the leadership of Emperor Demoncrawler. Kevin MacLathlan's guild had previously fought against Lovan and the "Green Army". The demi-god Lovan was driven into exile, but would later make his return.

Ad Infinitum was ruled, in effect, by the three MacLathlan brothers; Kevin, Brendan and Connor (with a fourth brother, Fergus, certainly less known). Of those three, predominantly Kevin, and to some extent Brendan (later in Pink Guys), is still remembered today.

Among the Executors and Proeliators of Ad Infinitum in April 2003 were, outside of the MacLathlans themselves, Elyrith, Kerafe Foo, Don Knauser, Jamaal, Lavediha, Theouindes, Phax, Laxi, Princess Helena and Miraqlix. Already here, we see a first connection between two legends, Kevin MacLathlan and Jamaal, who would later found the guild Revival. Jamaal's guild, Revival, would later fight alongside Ad Infinitum in a war against Reign of Darkness and its sister-guild, Followers of Darkness.

Reign of Darkness had originally moved into Valorous Venore (Venore), in the newly discovered city. It was from there that Demoncrawler would lead his troops in what would soon become the start of a lasting conflict. Reign of Darkness was a far stronger threat to Kevin than Lovan ever was.

Besides Demoncrawler of Reign of Darkness in April 2003 were his loyal Demon's Hands, Deathwarriors and Wisewarriors, among them Deathwanderer, Nighthag, Tiwito, Zoxis, Doc Mc Mad, Klux, Cristo Val'Thar, King Violenca and Radok II.

Zoxis was another "arch mage", and Reign of Darkness' answer to Lord Volti of Ad Infinitum. Zoxis was infamous for his strong magic skills, and equally infamous for his misplaced Ultimate Explosions, killing both friend and foe.

There might have been battles already here, but by November 2003, both guilds had grew. Hell was unleashed.

By November 2003, Ad Infinitum had seen the influx of several new warriors, including Boneash, Gefapat, Nudek, Anardiel, Azgaroth, Darathor, Dosinger, Krwawy Wilk, Ravenclad, Zexorzist, Xosesu, Lord Volti and Kael Aldarien. Anardiel and Krwawy Wilk would later play crucial roles in the story of Dark Legion, but were for now tied up in a bitter and bloody conflict.

Reign of Darkness was no less strong. The guild had moved into Sky Lane, Guild 1 (Edron), and seen additions by November 2003, including Absinth, Blut Engel, Pigeh, Kattron, Kerafe Foo, McNeuro, Nero of the Isoys, Teranion, Effancy, Duzzle, Esclavo, Matthew O'Leary, Rewonn, Lord Capy, Lord Pally Smurf, Lovan, Tavion and Tilde.

We note that Lovan, Kevin MacLathlans enemy and nemesis since the very beginning, saw his chance to revenge his loss, now on the side of Reign of Darkness. Duzzle must have been a prominent figure within their ranks at the time also, for he too spoke frequently in public, although with less grandeur and more of a vicious twist compared to Lovan back in the days.

Reign of Darkness' sister-guild, Followers of Darkness, was feared on its own merit back in November 2003. The guild was lead by McNeuro, and included such creatures as Sarevok Andrew Costak and others. Even orcs were found in their halls. The guild fought with Reign of Darkness against Ad Infinitum. Countless lives were lost.

Two more guilds should be mentioned at this intersection. On 1 July 2003, the paladin Effancy, who would later be a great enemy of Dark Legion in the war against Infernal Affairs, founded the guild Family of Conspiracy. Effancy, a megalomaniac at heart, lead the guild himself, with members including Artrovian, Tavion, Kaotiko, Korragorrax, Anomander, Crapalex, Droggo Von Draktand, Herlandor, Krwawy Wilk, McNeuro, Samgrath, Vindigo and Zexorzist. Several of its members, including Effancy himself, would later join Reign of Darkness in the fight against Ad Infinitum.

Effancy was rumored not only to conspire against Ad Infinitum already then, but to train so much that he was just referred to as "trainaholic" in his circles, an incurable disease of mind.

Redeemers, another guild with an important role to play, was founded on 9 July 2003. Under the leadership of Castigator Don Knauser, together with the other Castigators Orothin Beroloth, Prin and Utock Bazhuck, the Redeemers settled on the island of Cormaya, in the legendary halls of the Castle of the White Dragon. Among its other members were Warlords, Justifiers and Treasurers, including the noble knight Krin, Hispo, El knauser, Gefapat, Karcarg, Sir Veritas, Sleno, Gabo the Hun, Saxum and Typhonia Wintermaul.

Redeemers remained for several years on its own, watching and guarding over its own virtues and interests, and would not fight a war for a while yet.

It was in the middle of this turmoil, in the midst of the endless fighting between Ad Infinitum and Reign of Darkness, that Dark Legion was founded by the paladin Flamer the blazer on 27 October 2003. A beacon of light in what was otherwise a world filled with terror, treason, sneak attacks, open battles and pavement filled with blood and slain bodies at Thais X-Road. Frodo's even closed.

Flamer the blazer must have been very aware of the unstable geopolitical situation at the time. In retrospect, it is probably therefore also fair to say that the gloomy circumstances could have shaped the very fundament of the Dark Legion. A cornerstone of peace and prosperity in a very chaotic world.

Under Flamer the blazer's early reign, Dark Legion members, or legionnaires, included Mekila, Daduribi, Ivion Reaver, Zanhan, Hozugi, Lord Dustcounter, Falunge, Pixxapek, Morfhius, Rickardiusario, Falunge, Yukura, Grasher, Dark Legolas from Darkness, Triflock, Raylog, Hex Windwaker, Soso Kekepop, Knekten, Staurus and many, many others.

Dark Legion, from its early days in October 2003, was focused on its own activities. The Mercenary Tower, situated on the idyllic and calm island of Fibula was a fitting fortress, distant enough from the hell that was Thais.

A recording shows Dark Legion gathered in the Mercenary Tower, with other members, such as Drew Rock, Ach, Selekta'Jah, Heiner, Ovian, Reixel, Sovereign'Legend, Elendil Elessar, Lord Terrible Berman and Sky arcangel.

Dark Legion had its own boot camps on Fibula. Runes were aimed manually, as usual at the time, before wizards improved their spells to always hit.

Another recording, maybe from a later time, shows Dark Legion gathered in the Edron Castle. Commissioned by Daniel Steelsoul, Governor of Edron, for a special mission, the later leaders, Daduribi and Mekila, were joined by Xiceser, Micx, Ivel'lion, Yukura, Blacklegion, Magepa, Twutti, Triflock, Scogroc, Durnick, Armen Talie and Grzeczny Tibijczyk for the occasion.

In the words of the paladin Hozugi: "We were just one of many guilds trying to live their life on Eternia." And indeed, peace remained for the legionnaires throughout the entirety of Flamer the blazer's leadership, until July 2005.

Dark Legion was not the only peaceful and neutral guild during the wars that ravaged Eternia in late 2003 and 2004. Another notable peaceful guild around the time was Circle of Friends, with Serbitar, Tersidian, Thorin Cloudslinger and a very young Carla Fehr, living in the lavish House of Recreation (Carlin).

Guardians of Honour were noble warriors. Its predecessor, Circle of Honour, was founded by Beachy. Guardians of Honour was founded and lead by the paladin Mork, with Beachy, Aros Lightwind, Lukas Fledermaus, Lucid Darkwind, Wikifi and Craig the knight among its noble ranks.

The McGregors family was around too. Doyle McGregor was the grand old man and the patriarch of the house. McSpirit his wife. Gorfath was around, with Miles and Arguile McGregor and many others.

Perhaps was it not a coincidence that Dark Legion later would ally with Guardians of Honour and McGregors at several important crossroads in the future, when also the Dark Legion would have its wars. Without knowing it, these guilds might have shared a common purpose already back in 2003 and 2004, in a world dominated by Ad Infinitum, Reign of Darkness and a third force that was soon to awake.

On 14 November 2003, about two weeks after Dark Legion was born, the guild Revival was founded. Lead by Jamaal, a legend in his own right, among its earliest members were Kerafe Foo, Teranion, Theouindes, Artrovian, Azgaroth, Nudek and another "arch mage", Xulodue, who was said to cast spells so devilish that even Zathroth himself would pale.

Ad Infinitum was struggling against Reign of Darkness in the ongoing war in 2003. When Revival entered the scene, the winds changed. Under Jamaal's leadership, Revival managed to fight back the armies of Reign of Darkness and its sister-guild, Followers of Darkness. Many battles were fought, but the small team of Revival, compared to its gigantic enemy, won terrain. The tides had turned: Reign of Darkness was struggling for the first time since its creation. Maybe had Demoncrawler's empire become too big to control? The coordinated attacks of Revival, a tight group of the most skilled marksmen, was too much.

Ad Infinitum, which earlier had been beaten close to death by Reign of Darkness, now saw its chance, and took it. Kevin MacLathlan decided to step in.

Ad Infinitum stepping in to help Revival in its war against Reign of Darkness in late 2003 and during the first half of 2004, was called an "unlikely" alliance. Ad Infinitum's Kevin MacLathlan was a dogmatic, absolute monarch. His rule was total. Jamaal was different, he was no less strong, but more of a pragmatic strategist; perhaps equally cruel, but less self-righteous than Kevin was.

Revival changed it all, and aided by an opportunistic Kevin MacLathlan fighting for his own freedom and honor against Reign of Darkness, the winner of the war was called "unlikely" as well.

By the beginning of the summer of 2004, the war had ended. Revival victorious. Reign of Darkness fallen.

Kevin MacLathlan, having re-gained his freedom and re-established Ad Infinitum not to be overshadowed by Revival, would again play a key role.

With peace secured, the archives show that Kevin MacLathlan initiated the Eternian Council. The Eternian Council was an entity consisting of the strongest guilds on Eternia, uniting in a single organization to preserve peace and guide the guilds in humane action.

A Constitution for the Council was written. In Kevin's own words, it was "formed as a tool of peace, not war". But the Eternian Council was created by the preceding war, that was for sure.

Meetings of the Eternian Council were held at the Castle of the White Dragon (Cormaya). Each guild represented in the Council would choose one member as the guild representative and two reserves (one primary and one secondary). If a guild that was in the Council refused to follow the decisions of the Council, the Council would declare war upon this guild. All of this was in the Constitution of the Council.

There were originally five or four Council members: I believe they were Ad Infinitum (Kevin MacLathlan), Redeemers (Krin), McGregors (Doyle McGregor), Revival (Jamaal) and Pink Guys with green hair (Midukan).

The record is not entirely clear here. What is clear is that Reign of Darkness was also offered an opportunity to take part in the Council, but decided not to.

Dark Legion was not offered a role in the Eternian Council in June 2004. It is unclear whether they ever applied to join. Had they done so, they might have been accepted. But in retrospect, not joining was probably for the better.

The Council even had its own detectives, members chosen from the guilds of the Council, whose task it was to investigate crimes and other things the Council needed to investigate.

The Council project was maybe doomed to fail from the beginning. It did not last long before the egos of the representatives clashed. And Jamaal's Revival went their own ways, without much concern about a greater good.

The Council eventually disbanded, and soon Revival would stand alone, as rulers of the land, hailed and feared.

The Pink Guys with green hair, another member of the Eternian Council, should briefly be mentioned here. Pinkies, or simply "PGWGH" as they were often referred to, were later to play an important role on several battlefields.

In fact, Pink Guys was founded just a few days before Revival, on 29 October 2003. A recording from May 2004 shows the guild being lead by the Royal Smidlejf, Kentaii, with the rest of the Birt Pimpis leadership composed of Eggah, Midukan, Slevibur and Snoodi. Other members at the time were Hispo, Nudek, Xantea, Ysana, Martoja, Smidde, Gothic Tilo and Tha Maverick Sorcerer.

Sometimes leader, sometimes vice-leader, Midukan was the de facto ruler of Pink Guys, probably even back then.

In 2004 after the failures of the Eternian Council, Kevin MacLathlan and his guild, Ad Infinitum, slowly faded away. The end of the Council was maybe at the same time the end of the MacLathlans hegemony. A sign that the old powerhouses were falling apart.

It was Jamaal's guild Revival that ruled the lands of Eternia in 2004 after the end of the Council. From their headquarters in Dark Mansion just north of Thais, Revival basically did as they pleased. Abuse ran rampant. Any opposition against them would unleash the Sudden Deaths of Xulodue, with Dosinger, Kattron, Annette Lundin, Haboc and the others trailing behind.

One last attempt was still made to try to stop Revival's domination back in 2004. Another brief war, involving major organizations, was in the works.

Presumably towards the end of 2004, a war started in Eternia between an alliance, formed by the Reign Of Darkness, Followers Of Darkness and the Pink Guys, versus the Revival.

The war was the result of a by now long rivalry between Revival and the other major guilds. Especially strong must the hate have been between Reign of Darkness and Revival, after Revival had colluded with Kevin MacLathlan.

The actual trigger for this war was far more trivial: According to Blant, a Revival member, the war started because the Revival succeeded to slay Demons and Banshees in the quest for the precious demon helmet. Reign Of Darkness was angry and envious of this grand achievement at the time.

Jamaal, Revival's leader, said that when they did the demon quest, the other guilds were jealous because they died doing it. In Jamaal's own words: "Revival don't want peace, because Reign of Darkness started a war without a good reason". Revival was furious. Especially at Pink Guys for joining the war against them, a fellow member with Revival in the Eternian Council project in the summer of 2004.

Revival must have felt that Pink Guys had betrayed them. And so a real hatred between these guilds was born.

Reign of Darkness refused the whole story: According to Zoxis, the "arch mage" of Reign of Darkness, the war started because Revival refused to pay him for his Ultimate Explosion services and killing of the Demons and Banshees guarding the demon helmet.

Reign of Darkness was at first confident they would win the war against Revival in late 2004. In the beginning, everything looked good for Demoncrawler, Deathwanderer and the crew. Revival was driven back and took shelter in the Dark Mansion and many depots around the lands. In Thais, in Edron, in Carlin, in Venore; Revival members were hidden from plain sight.

But in the basement of the Dark Mansion guildhall, something was underway: The military strategists of Revival were planning a massive counter-attack against the two-headed monster that was Reign of Darkness and Pink Guys.

Revival strikes back. And Reign of Darkness and Pink Guys would not win the war. Revival would not win the war either. The losses were tragic on both sides, but a "stalemate" had occurred.

The "stalemate" between Revival and Reign of Darkness and the Pink Guys towards the end of the year 2004 marks the end of this first Volume. Much had changed in these first years; Ad Infinitum's reign, first as a guild, later as a utopian idea of the Eternian Council, had failed and fallen for good.

There was now a relative "terror balance" between Revival, residing in Thais and the dominant force of skilled military; the Pink Guys, residing in Edron and a brute force of a family; and Reign of Darkness and its sister-guild Followers of Darkness, residing in Edron, the last of the ancient powers.

For Dark Legion however, this had been a time of peace and prosperity. Flamer the blazer must be honored and respected for this achievement.

VOLUME II

"The First Wars, Infernal Affairs and the Birth of an Alliance" (2005-2007)

Peace remained for the Dark Legion in early 2005. Flamer the blazer was still leading the legionnaires' operations out of the Mercenary Tower in Fibula (Thais). The uniform of Dark Legion was characteristic in all its golden glory; its knights and paladins wore shiny, golden steel plates, lit under the sun, and its sorcerers and druids wore large robes, equally golden from the finest sewing work done by master elves of Ab'Dendriel, the city of elves.

There were some other peaceful guilds around still too: Peace and Love Inc under the leadership of Jegolas, Ferrum Cruentus under Calenardhon's leadership, the revived White Tower, and the Herb Society, with key members being Lalli and Soul Brother.

But the clouds on the horizon were darkening, also for Dark Legion.

Around February 2005, an incident happened that would lead up to the next big conflict. Dosinger, a key member of Revival and a privileged and respected warrior at the time, at least by some, had a thief visit him in the middle of the night. His house was robbed. A man of Dosinger's stature must have owned a lot of precious swords, axes, clubs, armor and gems from the deepest dungeons in Edron.

The Revival had their own ways, and it was eventually revealed that the notorious thief was a close friend of another Revival member, Haboc.

Haboc was from that moment on persona non grata in Revival: He was immediately kicked from the guild. At Dosinger's request, Jamaal accepted to have Haboc hunted to death for the sin.

In the basement of Dark Mansion, Dosinger, Jamaal and the rest of the Revival leadership, laid a plan to pay Haboc a secret visit in the night. Haboc, a well-known slayer of orcs, was ambushed by a dozen Revival members and ruthlessly killed. Haboc stood no chance in this surprise night attack.

Revival's action did not go unnoticed: Haboc, a respected man of his own, had powerful friends, among them Tha Maverick Sorcerer, an assassin and a mage of immense skill, wit and speed.

Haboc's friends paid some Revival members a visit. More blood was spilled. After this visit, a guild was formed. The guild Revenge was born, with one purpose: To revenge Revival's actions against the orc warrior Haboc.

The Revenge guild was led by Tha Maverick Sorcerer, and was originally set up as an elite squad with few and highly skilled warriors, including only Azgaroth, Fixano and Xomorix together with Haboc himself, Revival's victim.

One of many memorable battles was the one deep among Edron's Demons. The Revenge set out from Stonehome and went deep down, where Knight fear, a Revival member, was hunting.

The Sudden Deaths and bolts were flying through the sky. Knight fear tried desperately to escape, but Revenge killed him in swift fashion. Tha Maverick Sorcerer was in the making. Lord Pally Smurf and Corzzo from Revival were furious. Revenge even almost killed Penod on the way back, but he could escape the Magic Walls.

Boneash and Shadow of Mozes were also in the ranks of Revenge at the time. After Revenge killed Knight fear, Macloud, a vice-leader of Reign of Darkness, was diplomatically trying to solve the conflict. He had been part of killing Haboc. Don Knauser, the leader of Redeemers, was also contacted to negotiate a solution. It seemed Reign of Darkness did not want another war.

After the initial fights, Tha Maverick Sorcerer and his Revenge guild struggled to hunt down more Revival members. It was clear that the small elite squad of Revenge was not enough to fight Revival. Several new warriors were recruited. In the battle of Edron, Revenge killed many Revival warriors. However, Lord Pally Smurf of the Revival, a legendary paladin with great combat skills, managed to escape.

Eventually, Revenge formally declared war upon Revival in March 2005. Both guilds were now on the move to recruit more warriors. Revenge recruited several members from the Pink Guys.

In the battle of Greenshore only a few days later, Revival lost several soldiers to Tha Maverick Sorcerer's Revenge.

In April 2005, Reign of Darkness and its sister-guild Elemental Darkness, threatened war against Revival too. The reason for unrelated. Duzzle and Uhar of Reign of Darkness had been killed in a trap set up by Revival's Kattron. Duzzle announced a deadline for Revival to accept several conditions. If not accepted, Duzzle had publicly stated: "Blood will run".

Jamaal, Revival's pragmatic leader, saw his chance: He accepted to pay Reign of Darkness. This was crucial.

Not only did Revival accept to pay Reign of Darkness to avoid a war with them. Revival and Reign of Darkness now saw in Revenge a common enemy, and joined forces in an unholy alliance, often referred to as "Rodival", a force of darkness and a new kind of beast.

Midukan, the leader of Pink Guys, did not want to draw Pink Guys into war just yet. Midukan kicked out several members who had attacked Revenge. These members had to join "Rodival" to fight their own war. Effancy, Carla Fehr and others joined the dark forces.

By May 2005, however, Pink Guys would join the war against "Rodival" too. And Don Knauser of Redeemers was always pulling the strings. Tha Maverick Sorcerer's Revenge was merged into Redeemers, and thus a war between two alliances begun.

The war between "Rodival" (Revival and Reign of Darkness) and the alliance of Redeemers (with the ex-Revenge members) and Pink Guys was a bloody affair. "Rodival" lost several men in the battles. Xulodue, the "arch mage" of Revival, had entered into a long hypnotic sleep so as to increase his magic abilities. This did not help, and "Rodival" begged for his return.

These war events in April and May 2005 was be the very early build-up to the first major war of the Dark Legion, which would take place around a year later against Infernal Affairs. The guild Infernal Affairs was already set up in 2005, and included the outcasts from Pink Guys who Midukan had kicked out for aggression against the Revenge.

Despite the "Rodival" war against Redeemers and Pink Guys, guild-life in Dark Legion remained peaceful in June 2005. This was towards the end of Flamer the blazer's leadership. Now, also Dark Legion have had their small conflicts under Flamer the blazer's reign. For instance, Klopp'a, Professor Kleingeist and the other plebeian villains of the Outlaw Alliance had tried to murder a few legionnaires from time to time, and the opportunistic Hallown sisters may have created some drama.

But peace remained for the Dark Legion. In June 2005, a peace alliance, the Alliance of Neutrality, was signed between the guilds Dark Legion, Guardians of Honour and White Tower. This was one of the last diplomatic deeds of Flamer the blazer before he would pass the leadership to Daduribi.

In July 2005, the sorcerer Daduribi, a wise and old mage of noble heritage, took over leadership of Dark Legion.

Daduribi, the second ruler in the line, took command at a difficult and quite chaotic time. The war crimes of Infernal Affairs, in particular, was alarming. Friends of the war guilds were attacked and murdered. Lady Roxy, Scadon, Meanwitch and Ezekiiel died through their relation or friendship to people involved in the war. Thorin Cloudslinger was hunted by Infernal Affairs only for his strong public opinion. Wikifi of Guardians of Honour was hunted too, only for having Thorin Cloudslinger invited in his home.

The actions of Infernal Affairs were indeed worrying. However, Dark Legion would first have to fight another war.

A precursor to the first war of Dark Legion happened in late October 2005, when the knight Herlandor of the guild Energy of Live was killed by Guardians of Honour for attacking one of its members. The knight Aros Lightwind and the always purple-haired sorcerer Lucid Darkwind were dressed up as vampires for the attack. They killed Herlandor and looted a stonecutter's axe, demon helmet and magic plate armor from Herlandor's dead body.

Sir Tyrion, the leader of Energy of Live, demanded Herlandor's equipment to be returned, or else he would revenge it.

The equipment was never returned, and alas, about a month later, in December 2005, Energy of Live declared war against Dark Legion, a close friend of Guardians of Honour already then. The first war was on.

Daduribi led the legionnaires in the first war, against Energy of Live. A battle taking place in Darashia saw him together with Grasher, Triflock, Rickardiusario, Elite berserker, Yukura, Wojen, Toxic Bow, Demarium and others. Nico elliot of Energy of Live was obliterated in seconds by Dark Legion.

Another blitz attack happened in Edron, were the usual suspects of Dark Legion did strike again. This time against Keinam of Energy of Live, who got trapped behind enemy lines, with Ivion Reaver and Twutti in the front lines.

A few more attacks were made, with deadly precision. Daduribi, Twutti, Teretalu, Tha Eagle and others killed Gotrop in another trap. Tha Maverick Sorcerer, the old legend from the guild Revenge, was spectating the scene.

After only four days, Energy of Live asked Dark Legion for peace. Dark Legion set the following conditions: Payment of 500,000 gold coins and that the guild Energy of Live be disbanded.

Sir Tyrion, Energy of Live's leader, did not hesitate and accepted the conditions. And so the first war of the Dark Legion was over after only four days. The victory was as swift as it was complete. Life in Fibula's Mercenary Tower could return to normal for the legionnaires. At least for the moment.

But times were changing. No more did Trader Tim sell his goods and runes in Thais. No more did Bungle Anything amuse Eternians with his poetry. A new evil was rising, an "infernal march" was about to begin. And soon the Dark Legion would face a much bigger war.

The prelude to Dark Legion's war against Infernal Affairs took place in the beginning of 2006. Infernal Affairs, lead by Imperator Zuzawoh, killed Twutti from Dark Legion in the middle of Dragons and Dragon Lords. Together with Zuzawoh at the killing of Twutti was his right hand, the much feared and evil sorcerer Spash, as well as Effancy, Dimok, Mafi, Sanoxx, Xantea, Prin and Hispo. It was a pure slaughter.

A couple of days later, Falunge of Dark Legion died to another assault by the mighty and ruthless Zuzawoh, this time followed by the Infernal Affairs members Zootz, Ralthuk and Majare.

As if this was not enough, the real blow would arrive shortly after: The brutal killing of Dark Legion's leader, Daduribi, outside his house on Cormaya. Twutti defenseless inside.

Right after Dark Legion's relatively new leader, Daduribi, fell to the hand of the vicious sorcerer Spash, Infernal Affairs declared war against Dark Legion. In the war declaration made by the same Spash on 10 February 2006, the following reason was cited: "Planning war on us". Whether this was the pure paranoia of the powerhouse that was Infernal Affairs, or a simple lie to justify further abuse, is hard to tell.

Nonetheless, the die was cast. In a brief and efficient public reply from Daduribi, he said: "You started your march, now let's see where it takes you". Famous words cast into eternity.

For the acts of Infernal Affairs against Dark Legion awoke the Great Alliance.

The Great Alliance was summoned to crush Infernal Affairs. It awoke that very same day of the war declaration from Infernal Affairs against Dark Legion, on 10 February 2006. Soso Kekepop of Pantheon declared their alliance with Dark Legion. So did Lord Ziles of Sickplicity. And soon after, several other guilds would follow: McGregors, some members of Guardians of Honour and Sickplicity (the remains of the old powers of Revival and Reign of Darkness) allied with Dark Legion as well in this war.

The Great Alliance would fight under the banner of the guild Devarity, lead by a legendary paladin, Lord Pally Smurf, a seasoned war strategist. On 13 February 2006, Devarity declared war against Infernal Affairs. Lord Pally Smurf signed the declaration himself.

Demoncrawler, the old leader of Reign of Darkness who had known many a war before, gathered some of the troops of Devarity outside the Wolf Tower, along the Thaian-Venorean road, an old and strategic key outpost.

Devarity's warriors were dressed up in colors close to the old Revival uniform in this war against Infernal Affairs, with the characteristic black armor, gray pants and golden shoes. Its enemy, Infernal Affairs, wore red-glowing shoes paired with entirely black armor, as black as starless night.

The first major battle in the war between the Great Alliance and Infernal Affairs was the famous and bloody battle of the Plains of Havoc. These plains outside Venore had already been the setting of legends before, including for Necromancers.

Devarity and the Great Alliance, including Dark Legion, was successful in the battle of Plains of Havoc. A scene shows Szyderca and El knauser of the alliance in the front lines against Infernal Affairs, blocking Majare from any escape. Other alliance warriors at the scene included Demoncrawler, Twutti, Helice, Devirus, Daduribi, Lord-pumpkin, Durnick, Shadow of Mozes, Xiceser, Barbox, Wojen, Fixano, Nero of the Isoys, Smacka and Armen Talie.

Majare of Infernal Affairs was finally killed by the Great Alliance. Another scene sees Zuzawoh, Snurex, Deekar, Mafi and Zanucck running for their lives, chased by legionnaires and the troops of the alliance. Xulodue, the famous sorcerer, had returned to the front stage as well for this epic battle.

The Great Alliance also finally killed Snurex of Infernal Affairs, with Demoncrawler, Devirus, Zejiki, Moley, Mighty Iltiades, Szyderca and Wojen playing crucial part in the slaughter.

The first battle of the war was won by the Great Alliance and Dark Legion, both killing and chasing off its enemy.

This first victory had made the alliance too self-confident, however. Because in the second battle of the war, in the great Ankrahmun desert, the alliance suffered a massacre from Infernal Affairs. Aros Lightwind of the alliance was brought down by Zootz, Majare, Xomorix, Ralthuk, Boneash and others.

Damaf, Prin, Zexorzist, Effancy, Xantea and Dimok of Infernal Affairs killed Nixuff in another scene. Zuzawoh and Brendan MacLathlan with a final blow.

The always brave warrior Devirus was killed in the Ankrahmun desert battle too, surrounded by enemies, among them Carla Fehr and Effancy from Infernal Affairs, an unholy, evil couple.

Danne man of the alliance was completely obliterated too, dead by the great pyramids inside the city walls.

Ivion Reaver of Dark Legion managed to escape an assault. The mighty knight survived a rain of bolts and runes from the army of Infernal Affairs, as the one-man-army he was.

But the massacre was a fact. Infernal Affairs had killed a large number of the alliance warriors, including several prominent Dark Legion members. The day of the Ankrahmun battle against Infernal Affairs, in March 2006, shall thus always be remembered with grief.

A third battle in the war between the Great Alliance and Infernal Affairs took place in the outskirts of Ab'Dendriel.

The Ab'Dendriel battle was a bloody affair for both sides in the war. The alliance fought passionately. Ralthuk of Infernal Affairs was killed here. Mekila, a later leader of Dark Legion, swung his steel blade at this battleground. So did Daduribi, together with Teretalu, Danne man, Crimond, Lord Pally Smurf, Armen Talie and others in the alliance.

Mekila, the great future commander, also brought down Brendan MacLathlan, assisted by El knauser and Teretalu.

The battle of Ab'Dendriel was closely fought, with no clear winner. Both sides lost several soldiers. The real turning point in the war would come a bit later.

The Great Alliance had orchestrated a plan to kill the mighty sorcerer Spash, Zuzawoh's right hand in the leadership of Infernal Affairs: In the halls of Edron's city walls, by the flying carpet, Shadow of Mozes, Aros Lightwind, Devirus and El knauser were waiting for Spash, who was rumored to could levitate and fly himself, but who might have liked the convenience of a carpet.

Fire Fields and Magic Walls were set up by the alliance to lock-off any escape. Lucid Darkwind, Mork and Lord Pally Smurf of the alliance rushed to the scene as well. Spash now found himself trapped in a corner. In a desperate last attempt, Spash cast his Ultimate Explosion spell to hurt his attackers.

The explosions were so loud and bright that they could be seen from Cormaya.

Blut Engel, Ivion Reaver, Danne man and Twutti re-inforced the attack on Spash. In a scene, we can see the alliance warriors Lucid Darkwind and Danne man being forced back from the Ultimate Explosions of Spash, which almost had them killed in an instant.

Eventually, however, after a long time of intense fighting, Spash fell dead on the floor. Zuzawoh's right hand in Infernal Affairs had been killed by the Great Alliance. A major victory sealed.

The killing of Spash must have been a huge blow to the morale of Infernal Affairs. Zuzawoh was furious. He wanted to unleash all hell against Devarity, Dark Legion and the rest of the alliance. Instead, he would find himself killed in the legendary Demona Sneak Attack, the decisive moment.

The Demona Sneak Attack was spearheaded by some of the finest warriors of the Great Alliance. Twutti, Lord Varot, Sneed, Blut Engel, Shadow of Mozes, Tidus Lionheart, Yukura, Szyderca and Jamespond, together with the legendary sorcerer of the now old Revival guild, Xulodue himself.

Zuzawoh was taken by complete surprise. Trying to flee, he was flanked in an effective "pincer movement", with alliance troops arriving from both sides. In a key moment, Xulodue cast two very precise Magic Walls to seal off any chance of survival for Zuzawoh. The leader of Infernal Affairs was slain. As Spash had been slain before.

Soon after, on 11 April 2006, peace was declared between Infernal Affairs, Devarity and the Great Alliance. And so another chapter of history was closed.

The end of the war of Dark Legion and the Great Alliance against Infernal Affairs in April 2006 marks the end of this second Volume. In some ways, this war had been something new. A new fellowship had been born: The Great Alliance and the friendship between Dark Legion and other guilds, including Guardians of Honour and McGregors.

In other ways, the war was also a continuation of bitter, old feuds. Demoncrawler of the ancient Reign of Darkness guild fought for the alliance against Zuzawoh and Brendan MacLathlan, the latter a member of the ancient Ad Infinitum empire, the former one closely affiliated to Kevin MacLathlan himself, the old Imperator.

Other events would still take place in this year. By 2007, Infernal Affairs was still not gone. Neither was Pink Guys.

VOLUME III

"The Rise and Fall of New Empires and the Great Eternian War" (2007-2009)

After the war between Infernal Affairs and the Great Alliance ended in April 2006, Dark Legion's leader, Daduribi, and several other legionnaires who had fought under the Devarity banner, returned to the guild. An era was over.

However, Infernal Affairs did not disappear. Their members went into the shadows, but would rise again a bit later, and by June 2006, the new guild Seraphication was founded, composed of ex-members of both Pink Guys and Infernal Affairs. Some members of the Pink Guys had stayed close with Infernal Affairs all along, and now the connection was settled once and for all.

For the rest of the year 2006, before we write 2007 on the calendar, Seraphication and Infernal Affairs would wreak havoc in the streets of Thais and elsewhere, killing innocents.

The summer of 2006 was later known as the "summer of terror". Seraphication, the epitome of the violent abuse, even went so far as to declare war against Dark Legion. According to its leader, Sanoxx, Seraphication's detective work had revealed that Mekila and the rest of the legionnaires had "dreadful plans".

This was all just a false pretext, for Mekila was killed by Seraphication's Dimok. But there would never be real war against Seraphication and the old Infernal Affairs crew. Not yet.

Some deaths were recorded that summer of 2006, for instance the hunt down of Vooto and Dagoth mckeeing by Yukura and Teretalu in Thais. That scene was closely watched by Pink Guys, monitoring the situation. It was a sign of things to come as 2007 drew closer. The peace was fragile.

Towards the very end of 2006, Pink Guys became too much to digest for Dark Legion. Seraphication had disbanded after the failed war effort against Dark Legion. Pink Guys were still there. With the help of Loathe, a new guild also composed of ex-Infernal Affairs members, Pink Guys killed Ivion Reaver for dubious reasons. Vooto and Zootz from the enemy fell shortly after.

After the vicious and megalomaniac paladin Effancy, a Pink Guys member, was threatened with eternal death for killing a huge amount of innocents, Pink Guys and Loathe declared another war against Dark Legion on 26 September 2006. It was Zuzawoh, the old leader of Infernal Affairs, who was pulling the strings. He demanded revenge for the alleged misconduct against Effancy, a close friend of him.

The abuse of Seraphication, and later by Pink Guys and Loathe, in the latter half of 2006, is crucial to understand what would unfold from 2007 onwards.

Zuzawoh was once again a leading figure, and in many ways the real nemesis of Dark Legion, although the enemy took many different shapes.

The peace between the Great Alliance and Infernal Affairs earlier in 2006 was not a real peace, it seemed. The vile Infernal Affairs and Pink Guys union felt humiliated, and maybe even threatened by Dark Legion's victories.

Even Effancy, who had once fought in the ancient wars against Ad Infinitum and Kevin MacLathlan back in 2003, had seen in Dark Legion a new enemy.

After the Great Alliance and Devarity disbanded, they maybe thought that the old Dark Legion was vulnerable.

In January 2007, during the first war with Pink Guys and Loathe, changes had already taken place in the grand halls of the Dark Legion. For one, the legionnaires had moved out of Fibula's Mercenary Tower. The new halls of the legionnaires was another great tower, in fact the tallest tower of the entire continent at the time; Snake Tower just south-east of the vibrant city Thais.

Another guild, the second iteration of Redeemers, founded in 2007, had taken over Mercenary Tower in the meantime. Its role was far from over.

Even more, Mekila, the great commander and warrior from the Devarity and Great Alliance days, had taken over leadership from Daduribi. It was a small change, for Mekila had already been in the leadership since 2005, but a new ruler in the line it was.

Under the Dread Lord Mekila in early January 2007, the following Undead Commanders served in the Dark Legion's leadership: Daduribi, Flamer the blazer, Grasher, Lord Dustcounter and Yukura, with Daduribi and Flamer the blazer being former leaders.

Among the rest of the legionnaires, we find Armen Talie, Endyhrion, Hozugi, Lucid Darkwind, Smacka, Tha Maverick Sorcerer, Triflock, William McGregor, Ivion Reaver, Soso Kekepop, Teretalu, Ivel'lion, Krwawy Wilk, Jamespond, Micx, Mirkokas, Scogroc, Sir Mixalot, Sir ebbot, Suppah, Drunkerman, Staurus, Tanis Blackrose, Alanaste, Bastionls, Grzeczny Tibijczyk, Magepa, Pesoped, Sir Morgoroth, Devirus and Xefokose.

There were also members from its allied forces, taken from Guardians of Honour, McGregors and Blue Elephants.

The war between Dark Legion versus Pink Guys and Loathe was in full swing during the first months of 2007. Under Mekila's leadership, Dark Legion showed that even after Devarity and the Great Alliance, the legionnaires should not have been underestimated.

Teretalu, a druid with a strong bond to the Dark Legion, who was normally a member, but by now had joined the ad hoc war organization guild Armed and Dangerous, played a key role on the battlefield. Teretalu was a much feared wizard, known for being able to slay Hellfire Fighters for hours without end.

Teretalu was not only skilled in damage spells, but flexible and quick to cast Magic Walls at right spots and Paralyze spells, terrorizing enemies.

One scene from the war shows Teretalu, together with Daduribi, Endyhrion, Advent Child and Lord Dustcounter, killing Nero of the Isoys from the Pink Guys and Loathe alliance.

An even more spectacular scene from the war in early 2007 was the Venore Dragon Lair Sneak Attack by Dark Legion, where the vicious snake warrior Droggo Von Draktand was killed at the bridge. Mekila was at the scene, together with Jamespond, Scogroc, Micx, Lord Dustcounter, Smacka and many other legionnaires.

Loathe and Pink Guys had walked right into the trap: In a famous scene, we see Droggo Von Draktand being blocked from his allies in front of a Magic Wall on the bridge, with Xomorix shouting desperately: "Heal me". Famous last words before Droggo died.

Dark Legion was getting closer to victory each day. With the help of its allied integrated members and Armed and Dangerous, a guild including powerful warriors such as Teretalu, Tha Maverick Sorcerer, Keinam, Bysen, Krwawy Wilk and Sneed, Pink Guys and Loathe crumbled. And by April 2007, the Dark Legion had won another war.

Here, in the spring and summer months of 2007, we are possibly at the point in history where Dark Legion was at its most mighty and powerful. The legionnaires themselves were incredibly strong and seemed to resist almost anything. In addition, the remnants of the Great Alliance was still in force, with the old houses of Guardians of Honour and McGregors, in particular, playing an important part.

From Guardians of Honour, Dark Legion had in 2007 gained access to the services of the knight Aros Lightwind and the great wit and magic power of the sorcerer Lucid Darkwind. Craig the knight, who would become a leader of the Dark Legion later, had joined Dark Legion's ranks on 23 November 2006.

From McGregors, Dark Legion was helped by powerful wizards, including Krwawy Wilk, Kris the Wise and Alaric the Goth. The McGregors family, who in ancient times were peaceful with old wise souls, such as Doyle McGregor, McSpirit, Gorfath, Peterski and others, had changed into a more militant entity under great William McGregor's reign.

Blue Elephants was also integral. And in the autumn of 2007, a new ally would also arise that would become pivotal.

Despite Dark Legion's dominance in the first half of 2007, a dark force was brewing: Pink Guys and Loathe, who had lost the failed war against Dark Legion earlier that year, must have felt humiliated and thirsty for revenge.

In addition, something had happened at another guild, the Society, which up until recently had been neutral and peaceful, but had changed after the leadership had been passed to Jack Horror, and later Aeldene Stonebridge.

Aeldene Stonebridge was ambitious and more inclined to involve politically than her predecessors. Society under Aeldene Stonebridge was thus ready to capitalize on any opportunity to secure its position among the great powers.

Further, the doom and gloom of old powers, such as Infernal Affairs and Reign of Darkness, was looming.

With the rising threat of Pink Guys, Dark Legion's leader, Mekila, decided to take the matter in his own hands. Alas, on 15 August 2007, Dark Legion declared war against Pink Guys and Loathe. In a public statement from Mekila, the reason for the war declaration was cited as Pink Guys and Loathe's provocations, and intel showing that these guilds had been planning a war against Dark Legion.

It was the first war started by Dark Legion, at least formally. The war had started even before the official declaration, with the carefully planned ambush of Pink Guy's leader, Midukan, somewhere near Svargrond. Midukan was surrounded, not only by slain Dragons, bleeding on the ice, but by a horde of legionnaires. There was no escape, and Midukan fell to the ground.

Little did Dark Legion probably know that the killing of Midukan and war declaration against Pink Guys and Loathe in August 2007 would mark the beginning of what would later become known as the Great Eternian War.

Just a few days after the war declaration, Society, ruled by Aeldene Stonebridge, decided to step in to join with Pink Guys and Loathe. It was an opportunistic move to try to secure for Society a more powerful status in the future, on the premise that the war of this new alliance would have to be won.

Dark Legion now found itself in a war against an alliance of Pink Guys, Loathe and Society. Flamer the blazer was shortly re-instituted as Dark Legion's leader, as Mekila now needed to focus fully as a battle commander.

Under Flamer the blazer's interim rule in the early days of the Great Eternian War in 2007, we find the Undead Commanders: Daduribi, Drunkerman, Krwawy Wilk, Lucid Darkwind, Mekila and Yukura. Mekila, who had been part of the military organization Armed and Dangerous would serve as a battle commander, as would Krwawy Wilk.

Among the legionnaires fighting this war were also Grasher, Hozugi, Lord Dustcounter, Triflock, Demarium, Ivion Reaver, Danne man, Drew Rock, Jegolas, Lord Ziles, Royal Pio, Sir Mixalot, Sir Morgoroth, Sir ebbot, Allesa, Antosius, Armen Talie, Elthelion, Floria Goldheart, Iron Atlian, Judave, Kethmil Dwindare, Lord Bucos, Mandori, Micx, Moriax Vollihalak, Pesoped, Reixel, Selekta'Jah, Sky Arcangel, Tidus Lionheart and Eteri.

In the beginning of the war, Dark Legion, Pink Guys, Loathe and Society would only do sneak attacks: Lowmaster and Woody the Tooth of Society fell. So did Majare and Dagoth Mckeening of Pink Guys. After days of fighting, a first open battle took place.

The Battle of Ab'Dendriel was a bloody affair. Magic Walls were everywhere, and in between them, brave warriors from both sides. Ivion Reaver fell early, but so did Eastauron and Serbitar of Pink Guys. The grass was in flames. Soon, Viedzmin of Pink Guys and Nero of the Isoys of Loathe fell too. Dark Legion lost Pesoped shortly after. A crucial moment arrived when Aeldene Stonebridge, the opportunistic leader of Society, was slain at the wood-crafted gates of the elven city. Dark Legion had won the first battle.

Only four days after Dark Legion's victory at Ab'Dendriel, a second open battle took place. This battle was a long one, with clashes both in the desert and at the legendary Dwarf Bridge close to the entrance of Kazordoon, city of dwarves. It was a brutal comeback by Pink Guys, Loathe and Society. Allesa, Sky Arcangel, Ivion Reaver, Drew Rock, Jegolas, Twutti, Mekila and Flamer the blazer were slain by the alliance. Only Lecuna of Society was killed in return. The battle was a massacre. Especially at Dwarf Bridge, Dark Legion suffered immensely. The deaths of Mekila and Flamer the blazer, two of the leaders and crown-jewels among legionnaires, must have been horrifying news.

After this defeat, Dark Legion resumed the sneak attack strategy for a while.

After Dark Legion's heavy defeat to Pink Guys, Loathe and Society in September 2007, something had to change. The sneak attack strategy of the legionnaires was not sufficient.

Then, on 1 October 2007, help came as requested: The guild Maelstrom allied Dark Legion and joined the war. And thus began a long lasting relationship.

Maelstrom was lead by Mork, and included members from the old Guardians of Honour and elsewhere. The Invictus leadership consisted of Mork himself, together with Aros Lightwind, Mavina, Renjar, Shadown Warrior, Wikifi, Genma and Sir Hossam. Its Venenatus members included Alriken and Calenardhon (former leader of Ferrum Cruentus), who much later joined Dark Legion, as well as Kiny, Sir Maaz, Zalfes and many others.

With Dark Legion and its ally Maelstrom now fighting under a common banner in the Great Eternian War from 1 October 2007, the enemy forces of Pink Guys, Loathe and Society were fought back. The enemy lost a third open battle, with Snurex and Arwyn of Eternia from Society, and Edimor from Pink Guys, among the many casualties that day.

Eight days later, a final battle would take place, the Battle of the Desert, situated between Darashia and Ankrahmun. It was a key battle in the Great Eternian War, even if many more battles would follow. Dark Legion and Maelstrom crushed its enemy. Several warriors of the enemy were killed, including most crucially Midukan, the leader of Pink Guys. Dark Legion had found in Maelstrom a most crucial ally.

After the great victory of Dark Legion and Maelstrom in the Battle of the Desert, sneak attacks continued for a short while. Kor'maril of Society was assassinated, as was Krwawy Wilk and Lucid Darkwind from Dark Legion. However, Pink Guys and Society feared more open battles, and had to shelter.

Therefore, only two days after the Battle of the Desert, on 8 November 2007, Pink Guys offered a white peace, a peace deal accepted by Dark Legion and Maelstrom. Society had to pay for its freedom, which was accepted too.

Loathe was, for now, fighting Dark Legion and Maelstrom alone. It could not, and it would not, end well. Loathe, even with the help of what remained of Reign of Darkness, thus suffered from the end of 2007 and well into 2008.

By early 2008, not only had Loathe been joined by the remnants of the ancient guild Reign of Darkness. Dark Legion and Maelstrom were joined by an important ally of their own: The guild Sigillum Diaboli, lead by the Diaboli himself, Chad Hawk, joined the forces of Dark Legion and Maelstrom.

Sigillum Diaboli was a tight-knit family, founded by the couple of Chad Hawk and Mirona Rose. Its warriors wore iconic, dark purple uniforms. Among its leadership were also Dragon Scar, Elite berserker, Hex Windwaker, Vesperal, Prince-Bond and Antus Thath. Isildur'Conan was a member too, and would later become a legionnaire.

It was perhaps no wonder that Sigillum Diaboli would join forces with Dark Legion and Maelstrom, since the family was close, especially to Maelstrom.

Dark Legion, aided by Maelstrom, and soon joined also by Sigillum Diaboli, would fight back the once so mighty forces of Loathe and Reign of Darkness in the beginning of 2008. In fact, Loathe had already been curbed by the military organization Armed and Dangerous by that time, a guild which had as its purpose to make the entire army of Loathe take shelter while the legionnaires could continue their adventures. Loathe and what remained of the once great empire of Reign of Darkness retreated into the shadows.

In the shadows, however, an even bigger evil was soon about to awake. And equally horrifying and perhaps surprising for Dark Legion, it was an evil awoken, or at the very least helped to awake, from deep within the ranks of the legionnaires themselves.

There was a rumor, towards the end of 2007 or early 2008, that Dark Legion's guild treasure had been stolen by a disloyal servant at a guild event taking place in the Snake Tower. It remains a mystery until today who the thief was, but the rumor alone was enough to create an internal conflict within Dark Legion that would end up in a bitter conflict and back-stab, later.

Now, with Loathe and Reign of Darkness vanishing, a new super coalition was taking shape: Decessus, a guild composed of ex-members from almost all of the previous empires, including Loathe, Infernal Affairs, Pink Guys and even old and corrupted warriors from the long gone Revival.

Crucially, even legionnaires would join the dark force of Decessus, with Bysen, Grasher and Jamespond among them.

Already by late 2007, simultaneously with Dark Legion's slaughtering of Loathe, Decessus was founded and fought a war against the McGregors family and Rosicrucians Order. That war was a one-sided affair: Decessus could not be stopped. They marched on and obliterated what the once noble house McGregors and allies had left.

Dark Legion was not unaware of the new danger. Mork, the leader of Dark Legion's close ally, Maelstrom, had already planted a spy within Decessus during that early war with McGregors. Advent Child was the secret double-agent, and would report back to the quarters of Dark Legion and Maelstrom what was unfolding within Decessus.

The relative peace, after the worst was over between Decessus and McGregors, was short. Soon, all would be in flames.

In April 2008, after only a few short weeks of relative peace, the Great Eternian War, seen back then as "the war to end all wars", started for real.

Dark Legion, Mealstrom, Sigillum Diaboli and Reload were now all pitted against Decessus in a war larger than anything seen before. The three first guilds had been in a war with Loathe and Reign of Darkness for some time already, but this new situation was unprecedented. And as if this was not enough, Aeldene Stonebridge, former Cardinal and Lionheart Council of Society, had even further departed from the diplomatic road. Aeldene had founded the spin-off guild Night, which was Society's evil twin, or better yet, evil step-brother. For the new guild had very little in common with the old.

By 15 April 2008, only three days after the famous Eternian Rares Exhibition, hosted by Soul Brother and Krin in the old ship Tibianic at Greenshore, Dark Legion, Decessus, Divinitus, Maelstrom, Night, Reign of Darkness, Reload, and Sigillum Diaboli were all fighting amongst themselves. There were essentially four wars going on with some mixed alliances, although Decessus, the new super coalition, remained alone in fighting all seven of the other guilds. The guilds Redeemers and McGregors would soon join as well.

This turmoil of the Great Eternian War in April 2008 marks the end of this third Volume. New empires had risen and fallen. For Dark Legion, the back-stab by its former legionnaires joining Decessus was a scar never forgotten.

VOLUME IV

"The End of the Classic Era and Beginning of Dark Ages" (2009-2011)

It is difficult to pin-point exactly what would mark the end of the Classic Era. One could argue that it ended at one point during or after the Great Eternian War against Decessus and allies, which had started in April 2008. Towards the end of 2008 and beginning of 2009, the world would look grim for Dark Legion.

Mekila, the great commander, was still in charge of the legionnaires during that war. So were many of Dark Legion's core members, although some had left to join the dark force that was Decessus, maybe caused by the anger from the precious guild treasure lost.

But something had changed, or would change, and it is thus necessary to stay with the Great Eternian War of 2008 for a bit longer, to fully understand the long and winding road still ahead of us.

The Great Eternian War that marked the end of the Classic Era had been characterized by its many treasons.

Aeldene Stonebridge's spin-off guild, Night, had actually first fought on the side of McGregors, Rosicrucians Order and Rebels against Decessus. It was first when Decessus proved to be superior that Night changed sides and participated, among others, in slaying Hammerman on a Thais rooftop, that mad McGregor man in always green clothing, notorious for having one of the most messy houses of all time.

Even worse, and more significant, was the treason by the former legionnaires, many of whom would play a key role in the terrifying beast that Decessus would become, also in the war against their previous fellow members in Dark Legion, Maelstrom and allied forces.

Who were Decessus? It was a super coalition for sure. And in some ways the mutated child of several other guilds. Bysen, Grasher and Jamespond from Dark Legion had joined Decessus.

Other legionnaires had joined them too, such as Scogroc and even the great wizard Teretalu, who had been such an integral warrior in the Dark Legion wars of the past. Maybe had the always more powerful spells of the great Teretalu corrupted him in the end, for dark magic is not to be taken lightly. He had become unrecognizable.

Tha Maverick Sorcerer, the notoriously clever freedom fighter from Revenge, had joined Decessus. Xulodue, the walking legend of Revival, had joined Decessus too, ironically together with Zuzawoh, the previous Infernal Affairs leader, who Xulodue had killed before.

Not only had Zuzawoh from Infernal Affairs joined Decessus in the Great Eternian War. Spash, the pure evil sorcerer as he was, had joined the dark side too. And so Decessus controlled the wizard trio of Teretalu, Spash and Xulodue, a brute force of magic so powerful that nothing close had been seen since the Brotherhood of Bones had roamed the lands according to the book of creation.

The army of Decessus was so large that it is even difficult to pick out who to mention, but it included also Melhaar, Xantea, Raideon, Chemic, Olley, Lius Kion, Carla Fehr, Bastionls, Wielki Ribok, Riku of the Shadows, Alanaste, Bululah, Mighty Iltiades, Jerhyn, Lola Bowfusal, Snurex, Sotlin, Elcon Moonlight, Shadoweye, Sleipen, Maadfisk, Incruen, Majin-Evik and countless others from old guilds.

Maybe were Decessus already on its own too strong a beast for Dark Legion, Maelstrom and their allies to beat down. The turnaround of Night, who had previously fought a war against Decessus, but who would ally Decessus later in 2008, was not making things easier. Night's forces included the leader Aeldene Stonebridge, with other warriors such as Kor'maril, Woody the Tooth, Lenjor and even the usually peaceful and good-mannered knight Soul Brother, who had known Aeldene Stonebridge since early Society days.

Indeed, as some would say during all those bloody battles of 2008, "war had changed", with former enemies now being friends, and worse yet, allies.

Decessus and Night were simply fighting for domination. This marked a clear departure from the Classic Era.

By October 2008, Redeemers, McGregors and Reload had joined Dark Legion, Maelstrom and Sigillum Diaboli in the war against Decessus. It was a glimmer of hope maybe, but Redeemers and McGregors were no longer the powers they once had been. Alaric the Goth, Kris the Wise, Armen Talie and others too, fell in the battles.

Dark Legion's forces were still lead by the commander Mekila, together with his many generals, with Krwawy Wilk and Balistarius taking charge of the troops in several key battles. The legionnaires fought bravely, and without fear. It was a bitter conflict due to the back-stab from the former Dark Legion members. The enemy included not only the usual suspects from Infernal Affairs, Pink Guys and Loathe, but even old friends and close allies.

What remained of Reign of Darkness was also gone by October 2008. In one scene from much earlier that year, we see Mekila, Drunkerman and other legionnaires killing Gie'efbe of Reign of Darkness in the desert mountains, with deaths of Haldvar and Deekar following closely after. Deathwanderer, from the ancient leadership of the once great empire of Reign of Darkness, watching.

Indeed, times were changing. As one member of Decessus noted at the time: "The until now undefeated Dark Legion have been pushed to the edge for the first time ever. Stubborn as they are, no defeat has been accepted and the war is still here". However, it was only a matter of time before the Dark Legion could no longer endure the immense losses suffered during 2008.

Among the countless losses of Dark Legion, Maelstrom and the alliance in the war against Decessus and Night in 2008, was the death of Mavina, a key figure in Maelstrom's leadership, in the Battle of the Desert: Zuzawoh, Lord Pally Smurf, Bysen, Lord Terrible Berman, Teretalu, Aeldene Stonebridge, Chemic, Kor'maril and several others are seen as they trap and slay Mavina between Magic Walls.

Daduribi, the always noble second leader of Dark Legion, faced the same destiny in the desert, overwhelmed by Endyhrion, Snurex, Arwyn of Eternia, Teretalu, Bimsen, Bysen, Jerhyn, Majare, Sleipen and several others.

There was no escape. Dark Legion and its allies were maybe outmaneuvered, but more than anything outnumbered and surrounded by Decessus and Night.

On 25 October 2008, a peace agreement was signed and the Great Eternian War had finally come to an end. And so it happened that the war between the alliance of Dark Legion, Mealstrom, McGregors, Redeemers, Sigillum Diaboli and Reload against Decessus and Night was over, after nearly a year of fighting and reportedly more than 500 total deaths.

For Dark Legion, however, the Great Eternian War had not ended well. It was, in fact, a devastating defeat. The unholy alliance of Decessus and Night was fearing Dark Legion more than anything else, and so made sure that no legionnaire could walk free. The legionnaires were forced into exile, while Maelstrom and the other allied guilds could enjoy peace, for now.

The Dark Ages had just begun and would continue soon, with another war.

The peace agreement signed on 25 October 2008 had only secured a temporary peace for Dark Legion, Maelstrom and the allied forces.

For Decessus and Night, it was crucial to ensure that the power of Dark Legion and Maelstrom, in particular, could not rise again. And so by the beginning of 2009, ex-members of Decessus and Night founded a new guild, under a new banner, Brandbilen. Brandbilen had as its sole purpose to fully decapitate Dark Legion and Maelstrom from re-building their glorious kingdoms. The power constellations from the Great Eternian War of 2008 were re-established soon after, with McGregors, under the leadership of William McGregor, joining Dark Legion and Maelstrom, and with Loathe and a new fellowship of outlaws, Invisus, joining the side of Brandbilen.

The records are thin of Dark Legion, Maelstrom and McGregor's war against Brandbilen, Loathe and Invisus during 2009. What is clear is that Brandbilen, in its characteristic red and yellow uniform, was indeed an evil force to be reckoned with, and that the demise of Dark Legion would continue for long.

In one scene, we see Brandbilen, including Akanegirl, Lord Terrible Berman, Lord Pally Smurf, Uhar, Sleipen, Deekar, Mighty Iltiades, Majare and even the back-stabbing legionnaire, Endyhrion, in a battle against Dark Legion and its allies. The commander Mekila and the wizard general Krwawy Wilk participated in the battle, joined by Hammerman, Xonapop, Bombardzier, Knight fear, Lucid Darkwind, Drunkerman, Mahmoud-zoro, Kiny and even the Maelstrom leader, the paladin Mork.

The alliance of Dark Legion, Maelstrom and McGregors would suffer more, and during the summer of 2009, several other casualties were sadly recorded.

Drunkerman was slain. At the strategic point of the Thais Bridge, Spash, the almighty and vicious sorcerer who had previously served as Zuzawoh's right hand in Infernal Affairs, participated in the killing of Carla Fehr, who for one reason or another had changed sides once again, and was fighting alongside Dark Legion, Maelstrom and the allies.

Litherno Maer, another legionnaire, faced the rage of Spash as well, and was killed without any chance of survival. And Dark Legion's general, Balistarius, and Calenardhon, the old Ferrum Cruentus leader, were killed in the newly discovered city of Yalahar.

The newly discovered city of Yalahar would serve as an important battleground during 2009 and well into 2010 in the war of Dark Legion, Maelstrom and the rest of the allied forces against its enemy, Brandbilen, Loathe, Invisus and their evil crusade.

Thus, the discovery of Yalahar in some ways also marked the beginning of the Dark Ages to come. Another change was that Dark Legion's enemy was no longer, as it had been in the Classic Era, empires with strong traditions of their own. Instead, this new enemy was loosely composed of outlaws, outcasts, thieves, warriors and opportunists from various other guilds. An example of this is that Brandbilen would in late 2009 soon transform into other short-lived guilds, such as the Deadly Panda Squad and the Deadly Flintstone Squad.

Eventually, what had been Brandbilen, Loathe, Deadly Panda Squad and others, merged into Despiration. Around the same time, Dark Legion, Maelstrom and the allied forces would form their own war guild, Vindictive.

In one scene from Yalahar in late 2009, or early 2010, we see the Church of Yalahar being completely blocked off by several Magic Walls, with Slakt'arn being killed. Present at the location were, among others, the infamous sorcerer Spash from the old Infernal Affairs days, Snurex from the old Seraphication, Arwyn of Eternia from the old Society, Heiner from the old McGregors, and the legionnaire, Sir Morgoroth, who fell shortly thereafter to the hand of the joint enemy forces. Mork, the leader of Dark Legion's close ally, Maelstrom, watching at a distance.

Before Vindictive and Despiration were formed, however, a last attempt was made by the old glory of Dark Legion's leadership to fight down the dark force.

As a kind of precursor to the war later to be fought between Vindictive and Despiration, the organization Darker Legion was established by Mekila and the allied forces. Dark Legion remained as the trembling bastion it now was, but the armed forces were moved to Darker Legion for the time being. Members of Maelstrom, McGregors and a few other mercenaries were moved into the Darker Legion ranks as well. The old Daduribi was instituted as Dark Legion's leader as Mekila departed.

In the spring of 2010, Darker Legion would fight a war against the guild Lillebror, another new fraction in the Decessus-to-Despiration transition.

The war between Dark Legion's military arm in Darker Legion and Lillebror saw another great treason: Krwawy Wilk, the experienced Dark Legion general from the Great Eternian War, had also become corrupted by dark magic, and was now seen fighting alongside Bysen, another traitor, and Lillebror's army. After the old legionnaire Isildur'Conan had been ambushed in an Edron cave by Bysen, Mighty Iltiades and a few others from what remained of Loathe, greater battles were soon to follow.

A first battle took place in Svargrond, an area with a special meaning to any legionnaire ever since Midukan, the old Pinkies leader, was slain there in the early build-up to the Great Eternian War. This time around, however, the legionnaires would be far less successful in the Svargrond campaign.

On the battlefield in Svargrond from Darker Legion were Drunkerman, Balistarius, Elbered, Mahmoud-zoro, Mahup, Sotlin, Lord Bucos, Tracy Flow, Anomiem, Volumnia, Ekiiu and Drakam. Mohaned, a feared wizard at the time, was fighting for Darker Legion too. So did Moriax Vollihalak, one of the great mages from the old McGregors family.

The enemy forces, Lillebror, were led by general Krwawy Wilk and Bysen, the two traitors, and included Vetel, Mighty Iltiades, the infamous Lord Pally Smurf, Timbu'Archer, Odette Ocean, Joey Ocean, Yoshi'bahn and several others.

Darker Legion suffered heavy losses, with Lord Bucos, Anomiem, Elbered, Johny the Joker, Vanilla Latte, Drakam, Drunkerman, Ekiiu and Mohmoud-zoro among the warriors who fell that day.

An even greater battle between Darker Legion and Lillebror in 2010 took place in Yalahar. With Magic Walls as thick as houses separating the two armies, we see the great commander Mekila return to the battlefield for the legionnaires.

In one famous scene, Mekila is seen as he spearheads Darker Legion and its allies in a formation. Here, Mekila is leading the legionnaires in battle for perhaps one of the last times. At one point, we see the third Dark Legion leader facing the enemy forces in a shower of Sudden Death runes, with the loyal Sir Morgoroth at his side. Mekila falls, then Sir Morgoroth falls shortly after. A massive black army, now led by Lord Pally Smurf and Krwawy Wilk, pushes forward, with Ovian, Pesoped, Rajzon, Gakey and others left helpless.

A third battle took place in Edron, where the legionnaires once again were defeated. Micx, Elthelion and Magic Dasher fell; the latter an Edron resident himself, and previously a feared assassin from Pink Guys days.

The war between Darker Legion and Lillebror had been a heavy loss for the legionnaires. The Battle of Yalahar, in particular, was maybe a turning point. Mekila, the now old commander, saw his troops in total disarray. Even Don Knauser, the old Redeemers leader, was fighting side-by-side with Mekila and the legionnaires at Yalahar. Don Knauser, who had been such an important figure historically, with a network of diplomats and spies spanning entire continents, was now reduced to a shadow of himself. The remnants of the old empires crumbling.

Vindictive was founded before Despiration in 2010. Indeed, the first war of the legionnaires in Vindictive was fought against the Deadly Panda Squad, and not against what later that year would become Despiration.

Bysen and Krwawy Wilk, together with Lord Pally Smurf, were still in charge of the dark forces. If Zuzawoh had been Dark Legion's nemesis before and during the Great Eternian War, it is likely correct to say that Bysen was the nemesis as we enter the Dark Ages.

Vindictive's war against the Deadly Panda Squad would last for months. Battles were fought in Darashia, in the great Ankrahmun desert, on Okolnir, in Edron, and even in the streets of Thais, where the notorious Thais Mafia, an underground organization affiliated to Mork, had once been controlling trades.

Vindictive's war against the Deadly Panda Squad in 2010 would not end well: In the great Ankrahmun desert and on Okolnir, several key figures of Dark Legion and allies were slain: Sir Morgoroth, the fearless warrior. Rickardiusario, the veteran. Kane Aldarien, a noble statesman and brother of Kael Aldarien, a prominent Castigator in the first iteration of Redeemers in Orothin Beroloth's reign.

Among the other losses recorded in Vindictive's war against Deadly Panda Squad were Dark Fanel, Vixip, Tjalaget, Jerhyn, Deekar, Di Alucrios, Bululah, Tidus Lionheart, Elder Rekson, Mahmoud-zoro, Rajzon, Mohaned, Lemomost, Arwyn of Eternia, Gakey, Snurex, Loke McSpirit, Pesoped, Alanaste, Keinam, Smazor and Lord Terrible Berman. It was another defeat.

Towards the end of 2010, a great discovery was made which would also mark the end of the Classic Era. Much research had been done in the Ivory Towers of Edron, and a team of scientists under Zoltan had now found a way to teleport people from far-away worlds to the realm of Eternia. This saw an influx of warriors from other lands, later to be known as the Great Exodus.

Several new warriors from Lunara would join the ranks of Vindictive around this time, together with the legionnaires and other mercenaries already there. As a response to this, the guild Despiration was formed out of what had been Deadly Panda Squad, Lillebror, Brandbilen etc. And so by the very end of 2010, a war would break out between Vindictive and Despiration.

Bysen was still a key commander of Despiration in its war against Vindictive in December 2010, and so was Lord Pally Smurf and Krwawy Wilk. Another notable warrior in Despiration was Jack Horror, the old Society leader, who at one point must have been corrupted by Aeldene Stonebridge. Even the cruel, mighty sorcerer Spash, Zuzawoh's right hand from the Infernal Affairs days, made his return and joined the Despiration ranks in the war.

On 22 December 2010, in the Battle of Yalahar, Despiration was victorious with 50 soldiers of Vindictive slain against only 11 Despiration deaths. Another battle took place in Venore a few days later, with another major Despiration victory and Vindictive loss.

Dark Legion was in shambles, and many heroes of the past disappeared.

As were it a glimpse into the past, we see in a scene close to the Wolf Tower on the Thaian-Venorean road from the war between Vindictive and Despiration in December 2010, two old enemies on different sides of the battle: Haboc, the ex-Revival who would form Revenge, is seen fighting for Vindictive against Despiration's Lord Pally Smurf, one of the early Revival members, and a bitter enemy of Haboc from that time.

There was still the occasional throwback like this to ancient times. But the times had changed, and by the end of 2010, Despiration was winning against Vindictive. Mekila was gone from the battles. Daduribi had went into shelter, keeping what remained of the Dark Legion together, as he had done many times before. It was the beginning of the end for old leaders.

The massive victories of Despiration over Vindictive marks the end of this fourth Volume. As 2010 turned into 2011, the Dark Ages had undoubtedly arrived. The military branch of Dark Legion and its allies would still fight, but Dark Legion as a powerhouse was now a thing of the past. Decessus, Brandbilen, Deadly Panda Squad and now Despiration, all fractions of the same evil, had come to stay. The old codex of honor and glory faded as the Great Exodus with warriors teleporting between worlds had opened up for new opportunities never before witnessed.

The discovery of Yalahar too, had maybe been an omen of things yet to come. By 2011, the Classic Era had most definitely ended. From now on, large wars would be fought for total domination. There was no way back.

VOLUME V

"The Dark Ages Part I: The Last Wars of the Old Generation" (2011-2015)

By 2011, the Dark Ages had arrived on Eternia. The old empires were no more, with the exception of the Dark Legion, still existing, but driven into shelter and far from the major powerhouse it was at the peak of its power around the time of the Great Eternian War in 2007.

The beginning of the Dark Ages proper in 2011 also marks the halfway point in the lifespan of what is now known as the Eternia-Rowana-Vunira continent.

Together with Dark Legion, only one other guild from the Great Eternian War was still around: Division of Honor, from 2007, was a neutral and noble guild led by Fezek, who in many ways kept the legacy of community-driven events alive, in the spirit of old Krin and Soul Brother's Eternian Rares Exhibition onboard the Tibianic in 2008.

Outside of the great powerhouses already mentioned in earlier Volumes, the time up to the Dark Ages had seen numerous other guilds come and go: White Tower, the magical order of Siuan Sanche; Ferrum Cruentus, under the later legionnaire Calenardhon's command; Circle of Friends, the first guild of Carla Fehr and Serbitar; Acoma, an outpost for knights under the rule of Highlander and Lowlander Legend; Barony of Northkeep, a wealthy family led by Redrose of Northkeep; and Pantheon/Discipulus, a bastion of stone walls and glory under the Mckeening family's steady rule.

There had been, and would still be, attempts to revive some of these old fellowships in the future, but in vain, for the times had changed, and there was little left in the world for them.

Most, if not all, of the most powerful wizards and warriors of the land had also faded as we enter the Dark Ages in 2011. At the height of the Great Eternian War, Magic Dasher of the Pink Guys, Kris the Wise of the McGregors family and Carla Fehr of the long beaten Infernal Affairs, were widely regarded as the mages with the deepest theoretical magic knowledge, although in practical terms, possibly less skilled still than the "arch mage" Xulodue, the evil Spash, and even the old legionnaire battle mage, Teretalu.

Swordbunny of the old empire of Reign of Darkness was the sword master par excellence, general Dagoth Mckeening of Pantheon/Discipulus wielded the club like nobody had seen before, while Don Knauser, the powerful leader of Redeemers, was a beast with his axe.

Tavion, the once legendary paladin of Pink Guys, who was granted special permission by governor Daniel Steelsoul as the first tenant of Sky Lane, Sea Tower (Edron), was gone as well as we enter the Dark Ages in 2011.

While the legionnaire Tiger Claws had by now dethroned Swordbunny as the sword master of the lands, Dark Legion itself was in trouble after its unsuccessful "war by proxy" against Despiration and different evil fractions.

The final straw was the continued loss against Despiration during the first months of 2011, when another short-lived military organization, Persistent, tried to succeed where others failed before. It was no longer Dark Legion's war, but some legionnaires and allies were still serving on the battlefield for Persistent during that cold winter.

The war between Persistent and the still dominant force of Despiration in the first few months of 2011 saw a return to Svargrond for several battles.

The Dark Legion was mostly dormant for now, but a few legionnaires and allies from the past were still fighting, including Sir Morgoroth, Bastionls, Rajzon, Drakam and a prominent dwarf named Stainless Ironbeard, who had migrated to Eternia. Despiration's army included the dark elf Elendil Elessar, Mighty Iltiades, Scogroc, Vetel, Yoshi'bahn, Arashak, Don Jedrek, Anabolyc and several other warriors.

The war was a relatively short affair, and Despiration turned out victorious once again. The first set-back of Despiration since its inception was soon to arrive, however, as a new force was about to awake; the Hurricane.

Hurricane had just won a war against Heretics when it took to arms again against Despiration in April 2011. As the name suggests, Hurricane was a wind of brute force, so strong that the sandstorms of the great Ankrahmun desert would pale in comparison. But just like sandstorms, Hurricane would come and go, for it was a group of traveling mercenaries and nomads.

Nonetheless, Hurricane would actually defeat Despiration in April 2011. Some legionnaires and allies might have seen Hurricane as an opportunity to finally bring Despiration down. Lord Terrible Berman, Mohaned, Sir Morgoroth, Nicke Logan, Tony the Cute, Exotz, Psychopata, Demoniter, Mahmoud-zoro, Rajzon, Kaisher, Sovereign'Legend and Deekar were among the many who joined its ranks.

Fighting for Despiration in the war lost against Hurricane in 2011 were several orcs, trolls, outcasts and opportunists, including notably Krwawy Wilk, the old Dark Legion general gone mad, as well as Jack Horror, another usual suspect and second in line to the throne of the long gone Society guild, later succeeded by Aeldene Stonebridge in the early build-up to the Great Eternian War.

In one battle scene from Thais, we see Kael Aldarien, the former Redeemers Castigator, standing by and watching in safe distance from the bloodshed. Kael was not fighting himself, it seems, but his presence at the scene was maybe a sign of things to come, for the old generation would make a short return in another war, a few years from now.

Hurricane's victory over Despiration was sealed by May 2011 after the decisive battle took place in Yalahar.

However, the nomads of Hurricane would soon move to conquer other lands. Little was probably known at the time that the arrival of Hurricane in 2011 was the early fundament of what later would be Nevermind's hegemony.

For now though, Hurricane would soon be gone again, and Despiration could re-build its forces after what, after all, had only been a bump in their road.

Thus, from he latter half of 2011 and until around 2013, Despiration would remain dominant. A new neutral guild, Hush, under Highlander and Lowlander Legend's command, was founded in the summer months of 2011, but the time ahead under Despiration's rule would be a difficult period for such guilds.

Despiration's dominance throughout the rest of 2011 and 2012 is mentioned briefly in the unsuccessful application of Mad Chad to the Dark Legion in the summer of 2012. Mekila was now back as the Dread Lord of Dark Legion. At this point, Mekila and the rest of the legionnaires were mostly a sleeping giant. A chart from May 2012 shows Dark Legion as the second strongest guild, but nothing compared to the force of Despiration, which was double as strong, even if only counting 65 against Dark Legion's 115 legionnaires.

This downfall had been marked by the many defeats of Dark Legion's ad hoc military operations: Darker Legion, Vindictive and Persistent's defeats to Despiration and its fractions, and before that, there was also an attempt by the guild Oblivious against Loathe.

In retrospect, it was maybe the losses of the short-lived guild Oblivious against now long gone Loathe, towards the end of 2009, that had begun this downward spiral for the legionnaires.

Oblivious was a military organization set up by Sir Morgoroth, with Elder Rekson, Krwawy Wilk, Hammerman, Kane Aldarien, Magic Dasher, Priqe, Bimsen, Eastauron, Frojin, Melhaar, Micx, Isildur'Conan, Mahmoud-zoro, Plusik, Ripel, Sir Maaz and Xonapop among its many warriors. This was before Krwawy Wilk later would betray the Dark Legion, and so it could seem that the betrayal of old general Krwawy Wilk also played a part in the downfall.

At least, three years later, the world was ruled by Despiration, with Dark Legion retreated. However, at the end of 2012, a major change took place.

There were rumors towards the end of Despiration's reign in 2012 that a new group of mercenaries, or a massive army in fact, were soon to use Edron's teleportation services at the Ivory Towers, to wreak havoc on Eternia.

Alas, on 30 September 2012, the first troops of the army to be known under the guild name Last Choice had landed.

The records are thin about early stages of Last Choice at the end of 2012. What is clear, however, is that by January 2013, Eternia was for the first time under a real attack from a wave of traveling mercenaries wanting to ruin the very fundament of the old world.

Despiration's ruling era was coming to an end, and the guild was now reduced to only five members. In January 2013, there was no army close to Last Choice.

In January 2013, a brief declaration was made by the Last Choice member Dhyone Zin, stating that "Last Choice is the new guild that controls Eternia", with a warning to all to pay for their freedom, or eventually leave the lands.

This terror regime persisted into the early summer months of 2013. Nobles and Still Alive had made attempts to stop Last Choice, and so had Hurricane, the guild that had brought the first real set-back to Despiration, but left again.

The sudden rise of Last Choice had shaken the old world. Dark Legion, the only ancient guild around, understood its role as the protector of Eternia. The ancient giant would thus rise from the ashes: The old generation awoke from a long sleep and would fight its last wars, starting in that summer of 2013.

By June 2013, the emblematic golden-brown uniform of the Dark Legion had made its return in the new war against Last Choice. The armor of Mekila, the Dread Lord who had last been seen in the failed Battle of Yalahar against Lillebror many years earlier, was back.

In one scene from Yalahar, we see the old generation of legionnaires in a major battle: Mekila, the Dread Lord, Anardiel, a close advisor to the Dark Legion's leadership since the very beginning, Ocibido Pozi, Sky arcangel, Stasiw, Armagethon, Selekta'Jah, Tanis Blackrose, Isildur'Conan, the senator Edoc, former general Balistarius, the fearless battle mage Teretalu, and the veterans Yukura and Hozugi, and several others, tearing up Last Choice.

Other important figures of old Eternia were back too, as allies in Dark Legion's war against Last Choice from the summer of 2013: Armen Talie and Margarius from the old McGregors family were fighting. Armen Talie, who had been raised by the patriarch Doyle McGregor and his wife McSpirit, knew the ways of war well and participated in several important battles. There was also Calenardhon, the old Ferrum Cruentus leader. Then there was Alriken, who much later took a role in the leadership of Dark Legion. Even old Midukan, the legendary elite knight and leader of Pink Guys, who was also known as the owner of the Broken Amulet, joined the war against Last Choice. Damoonek must be mentioned too, for he was a fearless warrior and a seasoned strategist in his own right.

In one scene from the Yalahar Cemetery Quarter, we see Anardiel, Armen Talie, Calenardhon, Stasiw and Ocibido Pozi striking at Gul Co of Last Choice in a blitz attack with no chance of survival, assisted among others by Tills arrow, a clever and swift assassin.

In another scene, we see the veterans Edoc, Hozugi, Isildur'Conan and others killing Kaelzins of Last Choice next to the stairs to the Yalahar ferry services, with Sonjay's great Hell's Core spell delivering the final blow in the midst of an army of summoned Fire Elementals.

At the Dwarf Bridge between Thais and Kazordoon, Jhonizitoo fell to an attack by Anardiel, Mohaned, Mahmoud-zoro, Thunderhorse and several other allies, and outside the Fishing Hut, Mohaned and Armagethon killed Mystic Furiouss.

One of the key events in Dark Legion's war against Last Choice in 2013 was the killing of Chacha Zao right outside the Thais depot in the autumn of 2013.

Mekila, Anardiel and Ocibido Pozi is seen in the front lines, with Chacha Zao surrounded by the enemy forces. Chacha Zao was one of the most vile and mighty warriors of Last Choice, and the successful assassination of him must have been a real blow to the morale of Last Choice, which was likely already low by now after several lost battles. By late 2013, Dark Legion had grown substantially, while Last Choice had lost more than half of its members.

At the end of 2013, Last Choice was defeated. The old generation of legionnaires had made a striking comeback helped by allies from the old world who had protected Eternia.

Dark Legion's victory over Last Choice towards the end of 2013 might have kindled a new kind of hope for Eternia.

At least, the aftermath of that victory would see attempts to revive old guilds from the past. In November 2013, the McGregors family was established again, also now with William McGregor attempting to replace the old patriarch role of Doyle McGregor. With Doyle gone, the attempt was doomed to fail, however, and by spring 2014, McGregors was, once again, no more.

In the early months of 2014, a similar failed attempt to revive Society was made. The records are unclear about who was behind it. In any event, it was short-lived too, and soon gone again.

The most significant revival of old guilds in the aftermath of that victory over Last Choice was Maelstrom.

The new Maelstrom was founded on 10 December 2013. Maelstrom's revival is likely best explained from what was yet to come, for Dark Legion's victory over Last Choice had not secured a lasting peace on Eternia, but just a very temporary armistice. The day after the new Maelstrom was founded, on 11 December 2013, what remained of Last Choice after its initial defeat against Dark Legion formed the guild Neverlose, together with a mass invasion of evil orc warriors from the big terrorist organization Onslaught.

Like many times before, it is therefore probably right to refer to the wars against Last Choice in 2013 and against Neverlose in 2014 as one long and continuous war, with the first one being fought by Dark Legion and the second one being fought by new Maelstrom.

It is important to note that the new Maelstrom of 2014 had little in common with the original guild, except for the name and joining with Dark Legion.

Only a few members of the original Maelstrom would join the new guild, for most of the old generation of warriors were long gone. In fact, the new Maelstrom consisted mostly of legionnaires who joined from Dark Legion. At the end of 2013, Dark Legion had almost 300 members. During the first half of 2014, however, Dark Legion was reduced to about 30 members, with the new Maelstrom having more than 300 members. A massive effort of mobilization had been undertaken, with the entire Dark Legion army now mobilized under the Maelstrom banner. Mekila joined too. The leader would not return to Dark Legion until June 2014.

By February 2014, the war between Maelstrom and Neverlose was well underway. It was an inevitable conflict, as few could accept to live under the terrorist "lock-down" of Neverlose, even less so Dark Legion, who had fought against similar regimes before.

In January 2014, Maelstrom had sent an official war declaration to Neverlose as a way to make a "preemptive" strike. Neverlose refused the declaration and thus refused to fight under fair terms. As a result, Maelstrom would fight the war defensively, employing a form of "starving" or "burnt soil" strategy.

Amongst the legionnaires fighting in this war under Maelstrom's banner were Mekila, the old commander, Anardiel, Armen Talie, Lius Kion, Clive the Knight, Melhaar, Mohanded, Tara Mcspirit, Isildur'Conan and Damoonek.

The first months of 2014 saw several large battles between Maelstrom and Neverlose. Yalahar was again a key location for several of the battles. At one point, the entire city was on fire, swarmed by flames and summoned Fire Elementals. No city was safe from the open battles though, with others taking place in Venore, Ankrahmun, Port Hope and elsewhere. King Kaas, a self-proclaimed member of the nobility, participated in several fights, and so did Sonjay, as well as Kaspen, Mekila and the rest of the remainder of the old generation of the legionnaires.

The war dragged on, and evolved into what has often been referred to as a "push-war". Maelstrom's strategy of fighting defensively, combined with targeted sneak attacks and nightly assassinations, was a clever choice.

The wars had changed from the ancient days, that much was for sure. One of many such changes was the increased importance of espionage and magic technology, allowing for trapping enemies in some form of invisible spider web, slowing them down, or even halting them to a complete stop in the middle of a battle. Any person who met such tricks faced a certain death.

Thus, a famous, if not fully confirmed, incident from the Maelstrom versus Neverlose war in 2014 was the alleged espionage operation of Drakam, who would sell information about Maelstrom to Neverlose, making it possible for the terrorist organization to employ the magic trick and trap Maelstrom members in the invisible spider web. Still, Drakam's back stab only proved to be a minor set-back for Maelstrom.

By the summer of 2014, Maelstrom had successfully driven Neverlose out and with it, ended the terror that had plagued Eternia ever since Last Choice had arrived about two years earlier.

Maelstrom's victory was at the same time a victory for Dark Legion. On 19 June 2014, Mekila returned from the battlefields to his home amongst the legionnaires. Neverlose still existed, but mostly on paper, and soon the nomads of Onslaught went into exile in other lands. The world was again free.

In retrospect, it is also interesting to note that the first iteration of the guild Nevermind was founded during the Maelstrom versus Neverlose war in early 2014. Several years later, Anardiel and Tara Mcspirit, who both had fought with Maelstrom against Neverlose, would join with Nevermind.

The old generation had participated in liberating Eternia one last time. Mekila would not be seen fighting another war, and the same could be said about many others. The end of that summer of 2014 also in some ways marked the final end of the old generation, and the alliances and strong bonds, first with Devarity, and later with Maelstrom over two world wars, would never return again.

The end of the summer of 2014 also marks another major change: On 14 August 2014, the new continent of Rowana was discovered. As soon as this happened, the old world was no more. Eternia was buried and replaced with Rowana, but Eternia was buried in peace, and with it, the last wars of the old generation shall be remembered.

Maelstrom's victory over Neverlose and the birth of the Eternia-Rowana continent in the late summer of 2014 marks the end of this fifth Volume. The start of the Dark Ages had seen the old generation return one last time to save Eternia and to show that Dark Legion, even if far from its former glory days, was still a force to be reckoned with.

Still, the massive invasion for total world domination by Onslaught under the Neverlose plague was only the start of similar events soon to be seen on Rowana as it had been seen in Eternia's last days. As we move into 2015, Nevermind's uprising had only slowly begun, and the Dark Legion witnessed during Maelstrom's victory in 2014 would never return again, not for a long time. Thus began another period of darkness, chaos and turmoil.

VOLUME VI

"The Dark Ages Part II: The World Will Never Be the Same Again" (2015-2019)

The 2014 merge of Eternia, Hiberna and Isara into what became the Eternia-Rowana continent saw the arrival of old fellowships from foreign lands. At the time of this writing, three of these guilds are still alive alongside Dark Legion, being Riders on the Storm, Malkavians and Clockwork Orange. Another yet stronger, and neutral guild from that time, was the Smurf Farmers.

Shortly after Rowana came to be, and maybe forged by the chaos that will always be born upon such discoveries, the guild Dark Mansion was founded. Dark Mansion deserves a special mention here, not only because it had come to stay for a long time still, but because it was an organization in the spirit of Outlaw Alliance from early Eternia days, and in some ways, but less so, of the later Thais Mafia.

From its creation on 17 August 2014, Dark Mansion, or "the people's guild" as it was sometimes called, thus became part of the trinity of evil, outlaw organizations, after Outlaw Alliance and the Thais Mafia before it.

Prominent members of Dark Mansion included Lazo the Thief, a bard and con man, with the vocabulary of the more noble circles of Thais. Another key member was Tasty Mage, a mage who had perfected the art of killing innocents. The guild would later reside, fittingly, in Dark Mansion (Thais), where Dark Legion lives today, and would develop a propaganda machine.

Dark Mansion was, similar to the Outlaw Alliance of Klopp'a before it, a chaotic evil organization who would pick its targets at random. Any person unlucky enough was marked for life.

Dark Mansion also shared similarities with the Thais Mafia, the once highly notorious underground organization operating in the streets of Thais, with close affiliations to the paladin Mork.

However, while Dark Mansion was chaotic evil, Thais Mafia was more of a lawful evil entity. Thais Mafia, unlike Dark Mansion, had reasons, more or less just, for its actions. In addition, Thais Mafia turned out to play an important indirect role in the events leading up to the Great Eternian War. For instance, it was rumored that Mork got in touch with both Calenardhon's Ferrum Cruentus (who would later join ranks with the original Maelstrom) and Chad Hawk's Sigillum Diaboli (who would join Dark Legion in the war too), during the Thais Mafia days. Dark Mansion was not all that.

While much of the chaos surrounding the early days of Rowana in late 2014 is unclear, one thing was for sure: After Maelstrom's victory over Neverlose, very few of the legionnaires returned to Dark Legion. The ones who did, like Mekila, were old warriors who had close ties to the Dark Legion for almost a decade by now. Thus, towards the end of 2014, Dark Legion had been reduced, once again, to around 30 members. The old generation of legionnaires was now gone, and would be entering a seemingly endless sleep.

It was clear that the world would never be the same again. Not only was it the end of Eternia as we knew it. The old generation of the Dark Legion had come to end. Flamer the blazer, Daduribi and Mekila, the three Dread Lords of the Classic Era, disappeared.

While Dark Legion was in shambles, much of the old world of Eternia would eventually take the backseat as well when the first major events on Rowana started to unfold around early 2015.

Instead, the major political change and continued fight for total domination would come imported from Hiberna, one of the lands which was discovered in the Eternia-Rowana continent: These events started when the old leadership of Arashi, a foreign power of old Hiberna, issued an ultimatum to the newly created guild on Rowana, Eternal Wrath. Several of the Eternal Wrath members eventually fell under the pressure and joined Arashi's new organization, Adiko. However, a few loyal Eternal Wrath members refused to join, and thus turned down the ultimatum. A new conflict was born.

The newborn conflict between Eternal Wrath and Adiko at the start of 2015 could be seen as the beginning of the rise of Nevermind, although a short-lived guild with the name Nevermind had been created already a year before, when the new Maelstrom and the old generation was fighting one last time to save Eternia against Neverlose.

The refusal of a some Eternal Wrath members to join the ex-Arashi creation Adiko was seen as a thorn in the side of Adiko, who had plans to dominate Rowana. Eventually, Adiko could not accept such disobedience. To let it pass would be seen as a sign of weakness. Thus, it was not long before Adiko started to attack Eternal Wrath. The records are unclear on whether a war declaration was ever made, but the first major Rowanan war had arrived.

Eternal Wrath was initially heavily outnumbered by Adiko in the war for Rowanan dominance in 2015. After all, Adiko was the creation of old Arashi, thought to have been an ancient elven association of immense military power.

However, under the leadership of battle commander Finena, the few, but loyal warriors of Eternal Wrath eventually managed to turn the tables.

Prominent members of Eternal Wrath back in the early days included, besides Finena himself, Angmar Morgul, Victor Volkoff and the rest of the Volkoff family, Rambo Rene, Hellsounds, Fresh Baows and the rest of the Baows family, Sonjay and Kim Kong. Several of its members would much later come to play key roles in the super-power that would be Nevermind. Before that, however, several wars had to be fought.

The core of Eternal Wrath's members came from the elven fellowship of Arashi, rumored by some to be distant descendants of the founders of Shadowthorn, the fortification right outside of Ab'Dendriel, the elven city.

Indeed, Arashi had initially fought a war against Rannhide, another guild, as soon as Rowana was discovered. Later on, Eternal Wrath would also fight Rannhide in 2015. While the turn of events are not clear, it seems that Eternal Wrath in some ways were at war on two fronts: They were at war with the ex-Arashi creation Adiko, whose members saw Eternal Wrath as a group of traitors having left Arashi. They were also at war with Rannhide, a guild of opportunists who thought they could take the opportunity of civil war to secure their dominance on Rowana.

Eternal Wrath would soon take the name of Wrath of Evil. It was still the same guild, however. If one were to stare into a crystal ball back in 2015, one would be able to see the full transition that was about to unfold: Out of the ancient elven fellowship of Arashi sprung Eternal Wrath and Wrath of Evil. The two Wrath guilds would then become Hurricane around 2017, before taking the name Nevermind in 2018. At the time of this writing, Nevermind needs no further introduction to the reader, unless he has been living under a Fibulan rock.

For Dark Legion, the last wars of the old generation back in 2014 had marked a turning point: From 2015 onwards, its strategy had changed from that of wars to a small, neutral guild staying out of politics and war.

The world would never be the same again, it seemed, neither for Dark Legion. Still, in some ways, the time of Nevermind's uprising from 2015 to 2018 meant a return to the roots of Dark Legion's philosophy from its earliest days under Flamer the blazer.

Due to the retirement of several of Dark Legion's legendary members, and the guild being reduced to around 30 warriors, mostly inactive, the guild could no more venture into politics. However, unlike the days under Flamer the blazer's reign, the pacifist nature of Dark Legion in 2015 and the years to come was not so much a liberate choice as it was borne out of necessity: The complete absence of any clear leadership due to Mekila's eternal sleep, and the lack of a real army, meant that its direction had been lost.

According to one source, a black knight named Taldo Wall would try to back stab Wrath of Evil during the war against Adiko in 2015. Taldo Wall initially was in the ranks of Wrath of Evil. Indeed, Taldo Wall used to be a much respected member at the time.

However, at one point during Wrath of Evil's war against Adiko, the tides were turning. In an unprecedented event, Adiko would see an influx of new members from a massive wave of migration from foreign lands. All of a sudden, the forces of Wrath of Evil looked weak. Their faces bleach from the events about to unfold. It was at that time something changed in Taldo Wall's mind; something sinister. Instead of fighting back the evil, Taldo Wall back stabbed his fellow members and joined the opposing side of Adiko.

Taldo Wall thought to himself that Wrath of Evil would lose the war against Adiko. Thus, he made the opportunistic decision to join the enemy. To climb up in the ranks of Adiko, Taldo Wall would go on to reveal strategic information about Wrath of Evil's members to Adiko's leadership. And he would soon be joined by Agob, another traitor. Together, they would attempt to strengthen Adiko by sharing strategic plans and locations of Wrath of Evil. None of them would become leaders for this act, but their treason was a thorn in the side of Wrath of Evil.

Alas, the future looked grim for Wrath of Evil during the first half of 2015. Something had to change. Sonjay, a prominent member in Wrath of Evil, understood this and summoned the leadership to a key strategic briefing.

Sonjay sat down with Finena, Kim Kong and Angmar Morgul. Together, they decided to employ a "starvation" strategy against Adiko. While heavily outnumbered during the day, Wrath of Evil would shelter at daytime and only strike the enemy during the night.

And so began a cycle of nightly attacks: Adiko dominating at day, and Wrath of Evil dominating at night. Slowly, but steadily, Sonjay's plan would work out. Adiko were torn into pieces. The organization, which lacked a core and was more of a coalition of migrants from different continents, did not have the stamina and morale to hold its ground. Adiko was driven back and its migrant warriors soon returned, or ran away rather, to foreign land.

However, Taldo Wall and Agob's work was not over yet. They had a new plan.

Towards the end of 2015, Taldo Wall and his partner in crime, Agob, saw a new opportunity. There were rumors of a couple of old battle commanders from Wrath of Evil returning from prison. When the former commanders wanted to return to Wrath of Evil, they were turned down. Taldo Wall and Agob used this opportunity to recruit them to a new guild, Rannhide. Their goal was to revenge the loss Adiko had suffered.

Once again, a mass migration of new warriors would follow. Black ravens were sent out and brought back with them outcasts from Kenora (Red Line) and Premia (Challengers). Within 2 months, Adiko and Rannhide had grown from around 50 to 700 members. An army of undead soldiers was now marching and on its way to Thais Clanhall, headquarters of Wrath of Evil.

Wrath of Evil had to act quick not to be overwhelmed by the revived force of Adiko at the end of 2015. A war would now be fought on several continents at once. Wrath of Evil created an outpost on Kenora to drive back Red Line. By employing a guerrilla tactic, Red Line's army on Rowana had to retreat to protect its Kenoran base. They knew that they would lose Kenora if they stayed on Rowana, and thus left Adiko and moved back. Challengers from Premia, who had an alliance with Red Line spanning several continents, was forced to return its troops as well.

Wrath of Evil won the wars against Rannhide and Adiko. Sonjay's master plan had worked. The way in which Wrath of Evil had won across several continents marked a departure from the past. From now on, wars were bigger.

As we enter 2016, there was peace on Rowana. Wrath of Evil, the precursor of Nevermind, was ruling the lands. As of May 2016, Wrath of Evil counted more than 300 members. No guild was close to its power. Dark Legion, by comparison, counted around 100 members at this time, but with Mekila asleep, it was still nowhere near its former glory days. After the bloody wars between Wrath of Evil, Rannhide and Adiko, however, a sense of normal everyday life had returned for the neutral guilds around at the time, such as Smurf Farmers, Malkavians, Riders on the Storm and Clockwork Orange.

On 24 September 2016, the leadership of Wrath of Evil decided to re-brand its guild banner. In an act to appeal to neutrals, the guild changed its name to Hurricane. And so a new era begun.

Under the slogan ''you don't reason with a lightning bolt or negotiate with a Hurricane'', the guild Hurricane was a continuation of Wrath of Evil. In its early leadership, we find warriors such as Broczi, Angmar Morgul, Beerking Kim (the twin-brother of Kim Kong), Dark master chaos, Finena, Secret Jason and Soni cky. As the observant reader would know, Soni cky is now the leader of the super-power Nevermind.

Other members of the 2016 iteration of Hurricane included Damoonek, Ash Ketchum Poketrainer (an outspoken and witty figure in the public), Spaaw, Tara Mcspirit, Victor Volkoff and his Volkoff family, Rambo Rene, Lord Buffman and Browani. Browani had useful connections with Dark Mansion, the self-proclaimed freedom fighter organization headed by Lazo the Thief.

The bond between Hurricane and Dark Mansion would only grow stronger as time passed. One example of this was the wedding between Angmar Morgul in Hurricane and Moon Angel of Dark Mansion. The wedding ceremony was said to have been financed in part by gold looted from dead bodies slain in one of Dark Mansion's many attacks.

Helped by the propaganda offices of Dark Mansion, Hurricane would gain a good reputation on Rowana. However, the good reputation was not all talk. Over the course of 2016, the guild would host numerous quest expeditions and services for the benefit of the public. But a shadow was looming in the distance. Taldo Wall and Agob would attempt another plot against former friends. More blood was on the horizon.

In the autumn of 2016, Taldo Wall would conduct a mass recruitment campaign to fight a war against Hurricane. Eventually, his efforts paid off and another influx of migrants would arrive upon Rowana. Many of these came from the infamous criminal organization Brotherhood of Peace (BOP), villains who had plagued the continent of Ocera for years already.

The guild Good Fortune was founded sometime around August 2016 and would fight a long war against Hurricane. While Hurricane still kept its name, Good Fortune would later change its name to Demolition, a guild founded on 4 April 2017. Taldo Wall was promoted for his efforts: From now on, he would be known as King Wall.

At the height of its power, Good Fortune and Demolition had more than 500 warriors under its banner.

The war between Hurricane and Good Fortune at the end of 2016 was one of the bloodiest, if not the bloodiest, war ever. According to the records of Kim Kong of Hurricane, more than 5000 soldiers of Good Fortune died in the many battles fought. Hurricane lost a lot of soldiers too, more than 3500 in total. Even if these figures include also Hurricanes's ally Dark Mansion and Good Fortune's ally Fools/Insomnio, they are still impressive, and illustrate just how much the wars had changed since Ad Infinitum fought Lovan's "Green Army" and Reign of Darkness back in 2003, when each life mattered.

These new wars had a much larger scope and they were, and still are, a "numbers game" and a matter of total domination more than about deeper principles, diplomacy and honor.

Among the countless warriors fighting battles in the war between Hurricane and Good Fortune, some of the most notorious battle commanders included Angmar Morgul, Kelnocis, Arrows, Killer Run, Attack, Herr Max Larsson, Mardok Punnisher, Henrik the Destroyer, Kingway, Alkantre, Incubus Lucifer, Druid Bowani, Bro cky, Elias Maximus, Mangusti, Rodrigo Paralizerbond, Solutionnyy, Palakim, and Agob himself, the man who had collaborated together with Wall in an effort to backstab Wrath of Evil before. By now, Agob was simply known as Agob the Destroyer, destroyer of trust above all.

The war between Hurricane and Good Fortune/Demolition would be the war marking the end of Rowana as we knew it. Hurricane remained victorious and dominated until Vunira was discovered.

On 19 October 2017, Vunira, as we still know it at the time of this writing, had been discovered, and with this discovery, the continent of Eternia-Rowana-Vunira saw its completion.

Hurricane was still the dominant force, having first defeated Rannhide/Adiko in 2015, and thereafter Good Fortune/Demolition in 2016. With the discovery of the new continent, however, peace had again overstayed its welcome, it seemed. In the wake of the creation of Vunira, two guilds from the former lands of Yanara and Zeluna would now try to fight Hurricane for domination.

These two new pretender guilds were Demoralize and Get Out. Get Out, in particular, was seen by many as a corrupt and totalitarian organization.

At the very beginning of Vunira in October 2017, a three-sided war was fought between Hurricane, Get Out and Demoralize. The existing powers of three worlds merged into one clashed.

The corrupted organization Get Out was fastly outmaneuvered. The ones from Get Out who wanted to fight on may have united under one banner and joined Demoralize at this time. At least, for the remainder of 2017, the war for total domination of Vunira was now between Hurricane and Demoralize.

On 18 July 2018, in the midst of this, the guild Nevermind was founded. As a direct successor to Wrath of Evil and Hurricane before it, Nevermind would go on to fight, and to win, several wars.

Nevermind eventually won the war against Demoralize in 2018. Another war was fought later in 2018 between Nevermind and Worth Nothing. Again, Nevermind turned out victorious. The last war that should be mentioned here is the war between Nevermind and Goodfellas from 2019 onwards. In all these years, nothing much has changed and Nevermind remains in domination. In the current Nevermind leadership, we still find Soni cky and Rambo Rene. Several of its current members have been around since its 2018 inception.

The continued domination of Wrath of Evil turned into Hurricane turned into Nevermind, between 2015 and now, is unprecedented. Ancient powers may have been as powerful, or even more so, but their rule lasted much shorter.

Nevermind's rise to power, which had been sealed many times, once again with its victory over Goodfellas, marks the end of this sixth Volume. The age of Nevermind had come to stay. And that age was just as much the birth of what we can call "inter-continental" wars, often involving several continents at once. From the beginning of Wrath of Evil in 2015 to Nevermind in 2018, we would see organizations across several continents, moving from world to world to fight for domination. The world had become smaller, and for the first time, truly globalized, with its benefits and drawbacks. Some people would learn to live with it, while others felt alienated.

For Dark Legion, this period was truly unremarkable. It had been one big sleep, but the guild would awake again.
