Noodles Quest

It began with King Tibianus looking for heroes who could help him out of a predicament. On a stormy night a drunkard left the courtyard gate of the proud castle open and the king's beloved dog, Noodles, took this opportunity to escape from the royal walls.

Some heroes responded to the king's call for help and went to work to track down the beloved dog and bring it back.

The king referred them to his court magician Mardorak, who was supposed to help the heroes with his visionary abilities.

To get clues about the whereabouts of Noodles, however, the magician needed the 'Eye of Wisdom'. In order to find out the whereabouts of this artefact of prophecy, the magician had to consult the omens and needed a living stag with its entrails. So the heroes set out on a merry deer hunt and, with great difficulty, drove a real, living and stubbornly stubborn deer to the magician, who then saw in a ritual what had happened to the eye of wisdom. In trance he mumbled something about the fact that the evil archmage Ferumbras had destroyed the eye in 2 parts during his last attack on the city and hid it in 2 secret places. Now it was time to solve the riddle of the prophecy: The parts are where the 4 big ones guard the 2 big ones. The heroes quickly realized that it could only be the lighthouse and the watchtower, which were each guarded by 2 cyclops. Fear of death, they were cruelly destroyed and the two parts of the eye of wisdom were saved and brought to the magician.

In a long meditation session the magician could not determine the whereabouts of Noodles, but he could identify a 'personal item' from him, with the help of which he could surely learn more about Noodles from the Eye of Wisdom. But oh dear ... a dangerous mission lay ahead of the heroes. The personal item should be with the demon. Courageously, but with a little shaky knees, the heroes went to the demon and were able to save Noodle's personal item from the plateu of the demon without a hero having to lose his life. With their noses closed, the heroes brought the magician a small, brown pile, which Noodles had obviously forgotten about the demon.

(There should be another pic here but it is lost)

At last the magician could say something more specific. He saw the dog sitting very frightened in a very dark, extremely dilapidated corridor that was not quite finished. Immediately the heroes set out, hoping to bring back his beloved dog to the king. Unfortunately, they came too late. Instead of the expected dog, they found a note that said that a man by the name of Grabbart, also known by the nickname 'the Drunk', had found the king's poodle and taken it with him, and if someone wanted him back, he could meet him in Frodo's tavern.

Finding out about noodles from this drunkard is a little more difficult than expected. It was only interested in pouring Frodo's good wine into itself and just laughed at the heroes. The companions learned from Frodo that only his wife, the baker Drosophila, was able to dissuade him from his enjoyment. The heroes then paid his wife a visit and tried to research how they could possibly get something out of Grabbart. But she was only willing to help them if the heroes took some work off her and brought her 3 sacks full of flour. Grumbling and grumbling about this chore, they went off to get the flour. Upon delivery, Drosophila said that her husband only stops drinking when he thinks he's sick. After a long thought how they could deceive the drinker, they pushed a bottle of slime under his wine, which he inadvertently poured down, whereupon he was visibly startled and now everything about Noodles could be found out of him. For he had long since sold the dog again because he had to pay his debts to Frodo and told them the new owner: Orogar the Dwarf.

After a bit of searching, the heroes found him on a peninsula far north. But he didn't want to say anything to the dog unless he got a new ax from the heroes, because the mischievous Noodles had buried his own in an unknown place. After he finally had an ax in his hands, he informed the heroes that he too had sold the dog again because he was probably a real beast. He gave them the name of the new owner Dragonius and the heroes set out to finally find the desperately wanted poodle ...

Dragonius, the engineer was very quickly found in the cave near the lava dragons and when the heroes finally arrived, he asked for a watch to be able to record the lava eruptions. In return he revealed that he was giving them the name of the person to whom he had already sold Noodles again. He referred the heroes to the player Malic, whom they had to visit in the Game Hall. But Noodles had long since sold this too, and the name of the new owner only came out in exchange for a warm wolf's coat.

Again the heroes went to an alchemist in the mages guild called Bandon, but whoever thinks they have finally found the dog there is of course wrong. He, too, sold the dog to a person he would only name if the heroes got him a few grapes. After the paladins had conjured up "exevo pan" until they vomited, he named the inventor Wilbur Left as the new owner of the mischievous noodle.

The heroes found him on the roof of Sunset Flats, reflecting on his dream of flying. But even he no longer had the dog and, after receiving the carcass of a dead kite for the purpose of studying its flight characteristics, said that he had sold the dog to the mysterious Riddlemaster. When they found the Riddlemaster in his snake temple, he asked the hero 3 riddles. They would be:

Who plays when he works and who works when he plays? (Solution: bard)

It flies without wings, it kills birds in its flight, it is fast as the wind but blind. (Solution: arrow)

When you have it you are angry, when you lose it you are even angrier and when you win it you don't have it anymore. (Solution: dispute)

The first 2 puzzles were solved surprisingly quickly by a hero, but the third caused a few small problems that were overcome. Now the Riddlemaster confessed that he had given the dog to his friend the Undead King. The heroes found him in the famous Hellhole. Poor Undead King hadn't laughed since he died, and even Noodles' pranks couldn't really cheer him up. He promised the heroes that if they would make him laugh, he would release the dog. Somehow the heroes were a bit overwhelmed at the beginning. After all, they are heroes and not court jesters. But then they took pity on telling a few jokes and tried a common song / rhyme about the beautiful Tibia. And Undead King finally took pity

Now it was still a question of bringing the dog to King Tibianus in the castle at the risk of her life. What worked with some time delay by pushing, pulling and luring. The King was overjoyed to be able to embrace his beloved Poodle Noodles again and showered the heroes with his thanks. He awarded them the order of official Tibetan dog guards and invited them to a festive meal in Frodo's tavern.

From then on, King Tibianus and the royal poodle Noodles lived happily again in the royal walls ... at least for the time being ...
