Beta 6.5 - Cormaya

Cormaya launched with some fanfare on December 19th, 2001, as update 6.5. You could sail to the new island by asking the Edron boat captain, who would take you there for 10gp. If you were broke, you could travel by land through the underground tunnel to the south inside of the Rot cave. Taking this tunnel would drop you off on the north peninsula which had a tall lighthouse style pillar.

Upon landing by boat you would find yourself at the surface level on a small boat which had a single square gangplank connecting it to the dock. NPC Pemaret ran the boat, and like all of Tibia's boats was not a PZ so it was possible to be trap PKed if enough firepower was on the dock.

From here you could head a short distance into the town square which was brown dirt with a well in the center. This was a small town filled with rentable houses and though there was no dungeons on the island, it was a very popular place for players to inhabit due to its proximity to Edron.

The town had several buildings such as to the north there was a small two bed house. To the east of it led to a grassy area which was filled with trees, and west was a two-story house which had a large first floor room and a ladder leading to three beds upstairs divided into smaller rooms. South of this was two more small single-story rooms with double beds. A path west of these led to the rest of town and another double bed house was on the east side of the path. East of the well was also a large two story, six room flat with 1-2 beds each. Just south was another small path which led to a grassy area with some flowers.

Taking the south path led to a large stone hill which had a public park on the second level. Directly west of it, built into the rock, was the large Castle of the White Dragon which spawned five floors including a large basement which had 15 beds in a huge room. This hall would be the home of the Followers of the White Dragon who would take over the island like the Mercs did to Fibula. The first floor had a large, carpeted room and two tower entrances which could be locked. Climbing up the stairs in the east tower led to the second floor which had a further staircase. Several rooms were on this floor which had a large library in the west tower and a huge banquet table comprising most of the middle. A door also led to the public garden which provided a second entrance to the hall. Taking the staircase up to the 3rd floor which allowed you to access all four of the castle's towers. Each of them was locked and had a ladder leading to an additional level with a single bed. The central area of the 3rd floor was like an open roof and the northwest tower had its own carpet. This hall was one of the nicest halls in Tibia and was well laid out for a castle guildhall.

Directly west of the castle was three two story flats which each had two beds and the southmost one having a private balcony. Northwest of these was another two-story house which had three beds. The house on this path was just south of the walking path back to Edron.

South of the castle was a two-story flat consisting of four rooms which each had two beds, and half the flats had two rooms. All players could enter the entrance hall which had a staircase leading to the second-floor flats. To the east of these was a two-story house with three beds which also had a fenced in backyard that belonged to the house. Further east was a single two-story house and a path which led east to a small mill on the side of the hill. The park that could be found on the hill also continued to the east of the hill. I don't think there was a wheat field on the island and was likely added later when people complained that the mill had no wheat for people to mill and bake into bread. The rest of the island was heavily forested and only minor creatures like Wasps, Snakes, Spiders, and Deer spawned in small numbers. For all purposes the island was to be a peaceful place where players would live, but otherwise go elsewhere to hunt.
